when u land on the giant air thingy and u jump on to the ledge, how do u speed falt over it? cause everytime i do i always grab it and jump over it and then i cant make the jump

This time trial may be hard, but not nearly as hard as Playground 2. In order to get 3 stars in PG2, you need to successfully execute a technique that earns you a silver trophy (in the ps3 version). Playground 2 took me forever to 3 star.
I almost got 3 stars on PG2. I know how to get them but I never managed to execute all the moves perfecly ina row, the controlls r just too sloppy. thats what makes mirrors edge very frustrating. the move your talking about is pretty easy in my opinion. While inPG 3 I cant even really do the first jump thats why im checking this vid

You CAN jump all the way down onto the lowest ramp at the start! Saves a LOT of time but i just can't do it. I managed to get the jump right a couple of times but i just can't replicate it when i actually need it...

I hate the last part where you have to climb up to the rope... you can basically get stuck everywhere at this part just because of those damn pipes. i got platinum about a year ago on ps3. i have more trouble doing it on 360 now because the 360 controler fells awkward after a while, especially the lb and rb buttons. but now i did it again :) 9 stars. by the way. when i did this on ps3, i think i used the videos of this guy as well.
After about 4 hours trying it on and off I finally got it- 1:34:89. Dear god that was hard, I swear I broke the right bumper button on one of my pads getting it. Thanks for the great video! One main thing I did differently was, when reaching the pipe at 1:03 instead of just balancing over it after the initial jump, if you're timings great (or you're just really lucky) you can do a second jump from the pipe as your about to land. Saved me a crucial half second or so, but it was kind of lucky

Thats why you have to master every move piece by piece and put it all together later. Instead of racing to begin with, walk through the course and see what techniques are holding u back then work on them. I was slow as hell two months ago. Now I have 2 top 100 times (Playground 3 and Stormdrains). You can do it dude!

when your gound down the rope and drop on the soft thing you waste a few seconds, but if right after you drop you turn around and fall on your back while holding back, you can get up easier.

A way to keep me going is adding a ghost that JUST makes the time limit so that you feel you're doing well or not far off when you are closely following them. Following a fast ghost is frustrating because you see how bad you are.
I feel your pain. I finally got it after about a week of trying (not all week, obviously.) Anyways, I guess jumping and sliding on the 'balance' pipe helps. Trying to jump on the very end of the boards (after the first jump) and then jumping to the roof, then over the barbed wire helped save me a second (as opposed to just running on to the roof, then jumping over the wire.) OH sh-. Almost forgot, jumping off of the bag earlier saves about a second. If you can time it right, she climbs up quick.
Are you talking about the pipe that is through the red door? Because in this video, he walks all the way to the end of it, then starts running. He doesn't even jump at the end. Are you talking about jumping on it?
Yeah, I've seen those ones. I still can't figure it out. You gotta jump to the right or left, but once you are on, you are locked. That's what always messes me up. The closest I can get is jumping to the middle, and then sliding about another eighth of the way. BTW, what do you mean by the glitch on the mat?
You have to press jump just at the right time, coiling can help as well.
The mat glitch is when you press LT RB RT so faith falls off the rope turns and instead of landing on the mat and pausing she slides along it [search].
I been stuck on this for 3 hours now. I need 2 stars and i'm one second off everytime. If i do a quick start, ill fall off somewhere stupid. My fingers are hurting now.
Took me ages, just run just to the right of the post then when you jump aim more to the right. Once you get it just try and get the rhythm of it. It helps going through the course casually couple times, then when you get a perfect start, bang it down the track.

At 1:29, when you've landed off the zip line, the fastest line is to go right, and just beside the barb wire fence, and jump onto the hanging metal bars, as oppose to round and jump over.
Nice. I am having a tough time in 3 places. The part jumping off the two pipes onto the slanted roof. Didn't think to lift the legs to get up there. Then after the first baggy. Most of the time I seem to not have the speed to leap up on the building quickly to have enough speed to jump to the next building. And then the scafolding and vents. Keep running into pipes. Just need practice on that part.
I can only get 2 star on this, along with playground two. Can you upload a video of playground 2, just to see if im going the right route.. Cheers, keep it up!

At 0:36 and 0:54 and 0:57 keep pressing the jump button repeadiatly and it will make your speed to sprint speed.
If you want, make a video of it. (Works on stairs) But put some credits to me.

Pay a lot of attention to whether they coil at some point or not, and for speed-vaults. They can shave off many more seconds than you'd think.

To all of those saying that this speedrun is hard, try the factory time trial

A way to keep me going is adding a ghost that JUST makes the time limit so that you feel you're doing well or not far off when you are closely following them. Following a fast ghost is frustrating because you see how bad you are.

I feel your pain. I finally got it after about a week of trying (not all week, obviously.) Anyways, I guess jumping and sliding on the 'balance' pipe helps. Trying to jump on the very end of the boards (after the first jump) and then jumping to the roof, then over the barbed wire helped save me a second (as opposed to just running on to the roof, then jumping over the wire.) OH sh-. Almost forgot, jumping off of the bag earlier saves about a second. If you can time it right, she climbs up quick.

You can't jump off, you can only jump on. You have to walk to the end.

Are you talking about the pipe that is through the red door? Because in this video, he walks all the way to the end of it, then starts running. He doesn't even jump at the end. Are you talking about jumping on it?

Oh yeah you're right in this video they don't jump off the pole or use the glitch on the mat, good job on 3 stars.
It is possible to jump instead of balancing on pipes though [search].

Yeah, I've seen those ones. I still can't figure it out. You gotta jump to the right or left, but once you are on, you are locked. That's what always messes me up. The closest I can get is jumping to the middle, and then sliding about another eighth of the way. BTW, what do you mean by the glitch on the mat?

You have to press jump just at the right time, coiling can help as well.
The mat glitch is when you press LT RB RT so faith falls off the rope turns and instead of landing on the mat and pausing she slides along it [search].

When you're about to balance on the pipe, jump & coil in the air, this makes the actual slow walking path shorter and saves you time.

Took me ages, just run just to the right of the post then when you jump aim more to the right. Once you get it just try and get the rhythm of it. It helps going through the course casually couple times, then when you get a perfect start, bang it down the track.

Nice run dude, almost the same route i take (though you did it with no mistakes!)
At 1:29, when you've landed off the zip line, the fastest line is to go right, and just beside the barb wire fence, and jump onto the hanging metal bars, as oppose to round and jump over.
Might shave a second off your time.

Nice. I am having a tough time in 3 places. The part jumping off the two pipes onto the slanted roof. Didn't think to lift the legs to get up there. Then after the first baggy. Most of the time I seem to not have the speed to leap up on the building quickly to have enough speed to jump to the next building. And then the scafolding and vents. Keep running into pipes. Just need practice on that part.
