  • At LOSER Jeff... (no, sorry, no difference between the abuse of children & animals) you are the kind of loser that would hit a dog that ran in front of your car & keep going !! (It is obvious) May God punish animal abusers so severely when the day comes !! I wish I was there, I would have taken care of those God given beautiful creatures & THEN... waited around the corner for the owner/caretaker & made sure somehow he/she/it was hung by the nipples, balls whatever with GREEN, moldy water pumped

  • There are moral issues, even with cops. Certain cops are asholes

  • shame, its american, isnt it?

  • I agree with Jefmayllor

  • i am glad in scotland our laws punish wankers like this and that our police force give a fuck about animal

  • It is sad to see animals treated this way and it is shame the way the laws regarding animals are handled, however I would like to make a few comments: First- police only have so much "teeth" to enforce animal cruelty, second- you posted Upper/Lower Yoder Police which is not correct, Lower Yoder is covered by West Hills Police and they are not associated with Upper Yoder Police, Third if you are an "Animal Rescuer" why don't you know the proper authorities to call instead of blaming police?

  • Poor things.. bless you for what you did.

  • I hope that mother fucken owner would burn in hell for doing this to these poor dogs i hope to god some one will get help for these dogs like what this women is doing god bless you for your kindness for dogs.

  • I would not care what the owner or the cops would say or do i would take both dogs and give them food, water, and thake them to the vet and pay for it myself because i have 5 st bernards and i would do anything to help them.

  • I have dog named Ella she is a st bernard mastiff and we think that her last time owners had to move and couldn't take her with them But thanks to Helping Hands (HHS) Ella is a big help to my family.

  • aww, this is so bad,, and sad

    The cops are so bad.

  • aww, this is so bad,, and sad

  • aww, this is so bad,,

  • Too bad I wasn't there if there were dogs in this condition anywhere near me I would just say to hell with it and take the dogs who would know it was me?

  • This lady is insane. She is intoxicated with her own sense of self-righteousness which is covering from some underlying psychological problem. Cities, police forces and rescue organizations all work within budgets - financial, personal and time budgets. There is no way that they can drop all their other cases and run to whatever she deems to be the best use of their time. She is not qualified to manage their time. She has no idea what other issues they are dealing with.

  • Look, this lady is obviously pumping herself up as some kind of superhero that has to deal with the oh so indifferent police. Here is a question, if she cares so much, why doesn't she join the animal police and do things the proper way? It is childish to think that we can allow people to take possession of other people's animals because they feel they are being abused. We all know people would abuse that right and still animals all the time. Sheesh.

  • @jeffmaylor Well the problem still exsists. What do you propose to do about it, nothing because you're a law abiding sheep. You're the kind of person that just stays out of situations that may impact your well-being. Not the kind that would say help the Jews in Nazi-Germany, cause you have neither the compassion or the heart that it takes to make a stand and a change.

  • @ToasterBrain Yes, because this situation is exactly analogous to human genocide on an industrial scale? If she wants to break the law to save a dog, that is her risk. But to blame other people, who have to follow the law and live within budgets, is just self-righteous grandstanding.

  • You are a fantastic and wonderful human being. Favorited and subbed. Friend invite sent. Playlist devoted to your work pending. SUPERB WORK, keep up the good fight!

  • As time permits? WTF? And I bet if Tammy got pissed and started cursing the police over the phone they'd be there in no time to beat the crap out of her.

  • Tammy, you truely are a blessing! I love that you never give up! Nothing ever seems to stop you for standing up for such loving creatures that deserve the absolute best.

  • american police are twats

  • If a child were to be stuck in that shit hole injured, the police would come rushing to help them. What's so different about a dog? I hate how people put humans on the top... Dogs are man's best friend. Apparently they keep forgetting that.

  • @XxNorthernListenerxX There is a major difference between a dog and a human child.

  • Tammy, You are such an amazing person through and through, I cannot believe what I am watching, and that no one will help! There needs to be more people like you in the world, it would be such a better place! Please keep us all updated on the rescues of these dogs and all other animals you come across. I absolutely love what you are doing!!! xoxoxoxoxo

  • This is old, I know, but just wondering what ever happened about this? I fostered a Chow for someone from Dogs Deserve Better, BC, Canada. The Chow's 5 videos are on my channel.

  • My grandchildren are now in this man's care. If this is how he takes care of his animals....what is going to happen to a 5 year old boy and one year old boy? Unfortunatley there are no grandparents rights in PA. If anyone can offer advice..please help me.

  • wow where i live it isnt illegal to help a dog....and i dont care if it is i have 2 dogs of my own i love em

  • Thank you so much for helping them! The "owners" should be arrested for animal cruelty!

  • <3 girl... so much respect. I would have taken them as well. Stealing.... nothing. I would gladly shoulder a criminal record to try to right the wrongs that disgusting people like this commit.

In Australia... our RSPCA at least try to help dogs like this by keeping in constant contact with the owners and offering free medical care. They have no greater powers. I have been in similar situations... I have told the owner outright I would pay for all medical expenses ... they REFUSED!

  • should have just called peta

  • number 1. this is a shame

number 2. police don't need to give names

    number 3. tresspassing

number 4. everything the policeman did was protocol

number 5. you aren't aloud to help the dog...it's not yours

number 6. I am on your side...i love dogs...but the police are doing what they have to...sorry

  • this makes me so angry that there are fucking retards in the world that dont give a fuck about anyone but them selves

why did they buy those dogs if they werent going to be treated well

police are screwwed up and in circumstances like this trespassing and stealing should be alright

  • I used to live in Altoona and I was completely clueless these types of things went on. My eyes have opened to this heartbreak and I wonder how much is enough? The police have a motto "To Protect and Serve". How are they fulfilling it? By NOT protecting an innocent pet, but protecting a criminal. Shame on those cops.

  • thats fucked up those people should spend time in prison

  • These cops deserve to be put on the wall of shame. If only. That poor doggie...heartbreaking. I nearly cried.

  • Fuck the police!

    Help that dog! :)

  • Thats bullshit... Animals deserve better and I think that anyone who abuses an animal needs have exactly the same cruelty done to them.. An eye for an eye you bastards... I think you were right and the cambria county justice system is beyond fucked... I know I live in Johnstown...

    I agree with you COMPLETELY.

  • I remember this!!

It was in the paper for like 2 weeks...

    You Go Lady!!!

  • although you have a good heart, techinically the police are right and you CAN NOT be on that property and take it. it is stealing and trespassing. HOWEVER i have to admit that the police should have done way more. the poor dog! this makes me sick. the person who did this to the dog deserves punishment subject to your states law.

  • Comment removed

  • im crying right now. why don't people care about dogs! people live with them and i guess that's not good enough for them. why do they need to be mistreated? theres no reason at all. for all i cared i would have gotten myself arrested to help 2 poor dogs who were in need of care. as extreme as that may sound, i'de do it and go to jail feeling as though i've done something right and i gave an innocent animal a 2nd chance.

  • What The Fuck. People are DISGUSTING!!! I've never seen a dog in such poor shape. this is horrible and so sad. The cops are a bunch of jerks... they act like they've never owned a pet before. What a shame. Thank you so much for dedicating your life trying to help these poor animals!!

  • since you are a rescuer as you say, then you know what the laws are and should have abided by them. You spent time doing absolutly nothing but arguing with police when you should have gone thru the right channels to get Animal Welfare there. Video tape and present. Your not above the law. You let your emotions get to you. As hard as it was to watch that, you clearly think your above the law. Your not a rescuer your an extremist.

  • personally I would have just taken the them myself, and delt with the consequences coming to me. never revealing the location of the dogs.

I can take care of myself, its obvious these dogs cant. I give you two thumbs up for trying! to all the haters, piss off.

  • the only reason them people went on their property is to see the other dog and them people fucking hit the dog with a shovel so who needs the fucking law i would go kill them people then save the dog hell with the law

  • I agree, get A.L.F. to help in situations like this or better yet Rescue Ink!

  • I believe that all counties/cities should have "Animal Cops" such as on Animal Planet. The Cops have the authority to go onto/into the property and remove the animals and give them the proper care that they need.

  • im with you those cops are dumb ass

  • Yes I agree. Songrook1 says that hes a manager of a Humane Society and then has this indifferent attitude toward abuse. I don't understand that. Some people are willing to sacrifice their freedom, their perfect criminal records, even their reputations to stop injustices and to bring about change. That doesn't make them bad people. It also doesn't make them above the law. She trespassed, she was convicted, she took her punishment. It should be done with. There is no reason to call her names.

  • Your a manager of a Humane Society. Good god. Another idiot with a title.

  • scary, isn't it? Attitudes....no place for attitudes in helping animals in need.

  • i have a crazy neighbor that just because i gave away my doberman and had 3 other dogs called WEST HILLS POLICE and they showed up right away for a bogus tip and you mean to tell me you had him right there and he did nothing! I just moved out of westmont and i am damn glad because there are no REAL police officers there! they dont go by law they go by bias and feelings. they need to all take a good hard look at what they're jobs actually entail!

  • This is one of the worst things I have every seen. I sit here and I just cant hold back my tears. Why? Why would people let these angelic creatures suffer. Those poor babies....

  • The main problem here is that folks treat dogs as though they were "property" rather than friends. Would anyone treat their friends this way?

Dogs and cats are people too. Anyone who says differently has never experienced the love of one.

  • Apparently one must never go to the police in the case of animal suffering in your country. tammydb I live in Canada. I look forward to an update on these poor animals. I have a very bad feeling that they will not come to a good end.

  • songbrook you need to check out the local paper's article, also a fact the owner was charge before for animal issues. The dog died because he was shot

  • Where is that link?

  • song/king - should at least try to change your game a little if you want people to believe you are actually two different people

  • What? You never had your kid borrow your computer and not sign out of his account?

  • Why are you arrented for tresspassing?

  • Tamira Thayne, who changed her name from Tammy Grimes so she could lamely attempt to hide herself from the public's scrutiny of her CONVICTION for FELONY theft of an elderly dog from it's owners, is a media whore at best, and a straight up lying troublemaker at worst. The dogs were RESCUED in poor condition, and having done my share of rescue, I know sometimes, despite your best effort, they don't thrive. They were likely too unhealthy or weak to go through grooming on the scale they needed.

  • The "rescued" dogs didn't thrive because they were clearly denied vet care, any grooming at all, clean drinking water and human companionship.

Robert Stephey may have received those dogs in poor condition, a fact which remains to be proven, but the despicable conditions in which he allowed those dogs to be kept once he "rescued" them are clearly evident.

Stephey is obligated to provide his animals with vet care under PA law. He is guilty of animal cruelty and Tammy exposed him. Period.

  • Would YOU have put dogs that filthy in your home? Would YOU have rather left them where they were instead? Do YOU have the money to go to the vet at a drop of a hat to care for animals that were someone ELSE'S responsibility? And what right did Grimes/Thayne have to TRESPASS on that property? PROVE to me that water, filmed by a FELON, is actually ALL there was provided. Theives and felons LIE. Guess you believe every prisoner who says they aren't guilty, and would set them all free.

  • Are you for real!? Filthy dogs can get cleaned, you know. It is not their fault! Look in what filth they were kept! You would get filthy too, you know! And yes, you should be able to care for your dogs and go to the vet if there is a need to go. Otherwise, DON'T GET THE DOGS IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO CARE FOR THEM!! Grimes was a so-called felon because she refused to let a dog die, and this video does not lie! Anyone who has eyes can see it!

  • How many rescue dogs have YOU taken in and rehabbed?

  • "PROVE to me that water, filmed by a FELON, is actually ALL there was provided"

Is that all you see? There is much more going on here then just unclean water. Thayne was convicted by corrupt people who don`t care. Animals have rights under the law. There are standards which must be met and these dogs were not being properly cared for in any way. This was neglect.

  • Give me a break. THis is what all abusers say. I just rescued this animal. Yeah Right. Great excuse for neglecting and abusing your own animals. Why didn't he call a vet. Anyone who rescues animals get the animals proper care.

  • And again, how many animals have YOU rescued and rehabbed?

  • Well, quite many actually. I have been involved in 7 cruelty cases in the last 6 months alone involving 75 animals. Went to court yesterday for one of them.

  • "Been involved". Uh huh. Actually having animals in your home that others have messed up and dumped, paying the bills, doing the rehab work, cleaning the messes, and finding the RIGHT homes, isnt' quite the same as "I"ve whined and bawled to people about my neighbors because I don't like them or their pets".

  • I have rescued dogs, horses and cats and I oversee 4rehabilitation facilities where the animals are rehabilited. I have 3 in my home right now that others have messed up and dumped. I am a cruelty investigator and assist animal control in seizing animals. That is what our organization does. It is more than a full time job I also go to court to testify on the deplorable condition we found the animals in and Provide vet reports (we pay the vets) and before and after photos.

  • IF you are who you say you are, then you KNOW that breaking the law, stealing dogs and trespassing is NOT how you 'help' animals. The laws arent' just for the people who do things YOU don't like. Grimy acts of theft and trespassing make ALL rescues look like they think they are above the law.

  • Well I am who I say I am. I just hate to see people get into more trouble by tresspassing than someone who abuses and neglects animals, but you are right, you cannot tresspass on others property. You need to get the law to go with you and try to work effectively with law enforcement but, unfortunately, that sometimes doesn't happen for whatever reason. I didnt' know anyone got into trouble regarding tresspassing. What bothers me is that no one did anything to help these dogs.

  • Then you must be a heartless person, so your saying youd rather watch a dog, who cant help itself, die, than help it?

  • And, how many have YOU rescued?

  • Individually, 131. Got two for adoption right now. As a manager of a humane society, I've cared for well over 4000, and placed about 67% of that number, which when you include cats at a rural shelter that takes ALL animals, is pretty good.

  • You and I are on the same page here. My organization rescues horses and we have rehabbed over 200 in the last 2 years, but I help dogs, cats and any other living thing that is totally dependent on humans.

  • Remember that Mr Stephey was NOT charged. Grimes/Thayer is CONVICTED.

  • Shephey wasn't charged because law enforcement didn't enforce the law.

  • The law is applicable to everyone. When they charge Grimes/Thayne with trespassing, then they can try to charge Stephey with neglect.

  • YouTube dog videos spark a flood of phone calls

By BERNIE HORNICK and PATRICK BUCHNOWSK

    THE TRIBUNE-DEMOCRAT

Charges apparently will not be filed against a Westmont dog owner after YouTube videos showing his animals condition sparked alarm and prompted dozens of calls to 911 and the media.

West Hills Regional Police said Monday they would not be filing charges against Robert Stephey of Case Avenue over three possibly undernourished dogs he kept on property . . ..

    See Johnstown Trib

  • This is to sad...can't just be let it go...There are people whith blood on their hands, the police man is guilt too...Where are the rest of the dogs, whith family and friends, it all the same!!!!!

    Something must be done!

  • sorry everyone, i had to break up the article into several posts due to space limits. the police should be ashamed of themselves. a moot point now that the poor dog is dead? i rather doubt it would be a "moot" point if this were a child. this guy is going to slide because nobody did their job the first time around. this needs to be pursued until everyone who has blood on their hands is held responsible. ~kb

dog owner's name: robert stephey, 66, Case Avenue, Johnstown, PA

  • For his part, Stephey said he has had St. Bernards for years. At one point, he said, he had a kennel license and 25 dogs in his care. He said he had rescued both St. Bernards seen on the video. He said the dog that later suffered the stroke was seriously undernourished and suffering from parasites when he got it. He never developed, Stephey said. Its getting kind of carried away, dont you think? If the Cambria County humane officer said I didnt do anything wrong ...

  • They said she might be reluctant to come forward because she could be charged with trespassing on private property. People who live in the area of Sons of Italy Road said the owner regularly gave the dogs food and water We dont have enough to charge this guy, Lose said. Its a moot point now since the animal is dead. The videos showed two narrow-waisted St. Bernards. Thayne said in an interview that the shepherd mix was not in quite as bad a shape.

  • Police have been flooded with calls from dog lovers from as far as Florida, Massachusetts and California. Since Friday morning they have been tying up the 911 center, West Hills police Cpl. Mike Lose said. Its been nonstop since the video hit the Internet. Also, police have not been able to authenticate the video. The woman who shot the video Tammy Thayne, founder of Dogs Deserve Better has not returned their calls, police said.

  • The second dog was given to a friend in Indiana County and the third dog went to his son in Maryland, police said. Stephey said he still owns four dogs. Police began an investigation Thursday night when contacted by a Tipton-based organization called Dogs Deserve Better, which shot the video.

  • Stephey said the videos of the matted-haired dogs two St. Bernards and a German shepherd mix were taken by people trespassing on his property. The canines seemed to be living by an abandoned storage building. Stephey said on Thursday evening he legally put down one of the St. Bernards, which had suffered a stroke weeks ago and whose head permanently was cocked to one side. The only reason I didnt put the dog down weeks ago is I didnt have the heart, he said.

  • I watched the video, and said, Whoa, enough for me, said Tom Hickey of the Pennsylvania Dog Law Advisory Board, who was tipped to the film. He contacted the Cambria County Humane Society which, according to him, did not immediately investigate but turned the matter over to local police. "I have nothing to be ashamed of, Stephey said of the controversy that has been brewing since Thursday. These people should mind their own damned business.

  • Likewise, the Cambria County Humane Society has declined to charge him, according to Stephey, 66, a retired steelworker. The humane society was closed Monday and officials could not be reached for comment.

    Those poor sweet dogs.

  • This story finally made it to Johnstown news. Should be on WJAC at 5 or 6pm.

  • Yes! WJAC reported receivng thousands of calls from across the country about the dogs! They ran the story on the nightly news!

"YouTube Video Sparks Animal Neglect Investigation

    Updated: 1:27 pm EDT August 3, 2009

Police are investigating after a video was posted on YouTube showing dogs that appear to have been victims of neglect.

  • I cant help but to cry for this sweet dog.I hope BOB! knows it is everybodies business how he abused these poor animals and he better get his 2 lawyer brothers to represent him court!and I hope the police officer knows what the punishment is "for abstructing justice" he had the ability to save these animals and chose not to .He took an oath as a policeman to uphold the law and he broke it.HE IS NOT WORTHY TO HOLD HIS POSITION!He is more guilty then the abuser BOB!

  • PETA sent a email to me and said they are already involved. That's good news right? I just want to know where we can get updates of what is going on. Is Tammy ok or do the hicks have her locked up again.

  • Yes, mrmushcat, that is fabulous news that PETA is involved. This story will not go away now because, as we all know, animal rights activists do not back down.

Tammy has the support of many people. The police would be fools to arrest her.

  • Here is the name of the chief and a toll free number:

    Chief Andrew Havas

    1000 Luzerne Street

    Johnstown, Pa. 15905

    814-255-4145

    Non Emergency 1-800-281-1680

Maybe if enough folks call or write they can be educated on what is a humane emergency VS a dog warden problem. What idiots!

  • The dogs are located on Sons of Italy Rd. just off St. Clair Rd.

    West Hills Police 814.255.4145

    Cambria County Humane Society 814.535.6116

    Mark Miller Dog Warden 814.623.3945

  • THE POLICE and THE LEGAL SYSTEM have A LOT TO ANSWER FOR !!! I DISPAIR ! These people need to get together and start helping animals in distress - Tammy what ever would these dogs do without you - thank you for being there in spite of the brick legal walls !

  • This video is devistating. What these dogs have gone through is beyond horrible. They have suffered tremendously and some day the man who did this will perish in prison or just plain rot in hell. I do not take very kindly to animal crulety, I love animals so much and I think they deserve a home that will love them unconditionally and will be considered about of the family! I was litterally in tears when I saw this! I hope that this dog RIP and will find love somewhere. Keep it up!

  • this is wonderful what your doing.... keep up the good work.

  • I feel the only time anyone cares(or act like they care), is when there are cameras around.

I help an animal in need before I help any PO or Authority, especially after what I just seen here.

I have no words for people like this in Uniform, or respect.

  • You need to send this to someone like Oprah-this is horrific-please keep us updated-I cannot believe the police officers in Johnstown Pa are not enforcing the state cruelty laws-what is wrong with them-these dogs should be removed immediately and the owner/guardian taken to jail-these is clearly abuse!!!

  • PA Humane Society Police Officers Powers and authority; jurisdiction. (a) Authority limited to county of appointment.--An individual appointed as a humane society police officer in accordance with this chapter shall have power and authority to exercise the powers conferred under 18 Pa.C.S. § 5511 (relating to cruelty to animals) in enforcement of animal cruelty laws only within the particular county

Wrong, Cop! Humane Society Officers have authority to enforce anti-cruelty laws!

  • Title 18-Section 5511 of the PA Anti-Cruelty Law: (c)(1) Cruelty to animals--a person commits a summary offense if he wantonly or cruelly ill-treats, overloads, beats, otherwise abuses any animal, or neglects any animal as to which he has a duty of care, whether belonging to himself or otherwise, or abandons any animal, or deprives any animal of necessary sustenance, drink, shelter or veterinary care

The cop did not enforce the anti-cruelty law! He is responsible for this animal's death!

  • Thank you for sharing this with everyone, I am calling and leaving complaints and have emailed my network to call as well. Has anyone contacted the national Humane Society?? Please keep us posted. My heart is broken...

  • I looked under the local news and saw nothing, I called all the numbers and got no response. I even called the police station and nobody answered. What the hell is going on. Does this thug and his lawyer brothers have that much pull

  • I would like to help those dogs. can someone give me the phone # for contact ?

    Katie

  • The numbers are listed in the description. I was actaully able to reach the Humane Society number yesterday, but it was busy for many tries.

  • we need to bombard oprah; i think there is a link on her website. & ceaser milan So many people hate Peta - although they are connected - many animal people i know don't care to associate with them. after the steve irwin comments and the obama fly incident. i send my $ elsewhere-i do support 80 of what they do but when they get extreme, yes the get press, they make animal welfare supporters look bad. There is such a think as bad press. In an ideal world, i'd support them - ideal, unlikely

  • I called the police dept. and they said the the matter was being taken care of...............I'll bet.........

  • I just got an e-mail from PETA. They will be responding back in the next 24 hours. I have a feeling if we all email PETA you will get a huge response. Call everyone you know.Use facebook Twitter my space. Just make it so that the cops know we are not going to let this go

  • did any of you call the number of the West Hills Police......814-2554145.......... and ask what they are doing about fixing the problem

  • All their calls are sent to a dispatcher service. They dispatch the emergency calls to the proper patrolling police officers, but we can't reach anyone to give a complaint! They took my number down and said they could not promise that someone will call me back... I will call back, though! Let's make some noise, people!

  • this was discusting animal abuse at its worst how anyone can let this happen is beyond belief the police where not interested hope you managed to get these poor dogs out and to the vet keep up the good work

  • I feel physically sick... honestly... the stupidity of the officers, not wanting to help, finding excuses... and we have to sit there and watch them die!!! I'll call all these numbers, as soon as I finish crying those tears of rage. Impotent rage... Damn those people!

  • I sent this to peta.

  • Great idea.Good thinking

  • Just keep sending the video around to as many people you can. I tried calling the police station but no one answers. Isn't that strange no one answers at police station.

  • Send this to animal plant if nothing else! this is awful. Make sure to publish the police staion's locality and the court ifo where that judge sits. Just sickening.

  • As a rescuer you should know all ordinances that apply to these situations, that is part of your responsibility. Being informed is being forearmed against the system that allows this to happen. Know where and who to report to.

That said, I commend you, the atrocities being allowed to occur is an abomination, a true blow to humanity that encourages suffering. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

  • Send this video to all the major networks (ABC/CBS/NBC) and let them know exactly what happened even after this video. They have many shows like Dateline, Primetime etc..that would love to have this and many stories like it for the world to see. People need to know the truth not only about the cruelty done to helpless animals but the cruelty done to the ones who want to help. Hope this gets blasted across the nation! God bless you and those poor dogs.

  • Can't believe this -we all have to scream bloody murder! Im writing everyone I can think of in media- big names, all of them! everyone do the same, if they (someone like oprah) hear enough regular people talking about a situation, they may (or someone big like her in media) bring it out

  • I posted CALL THE POLICE, so u did.

    Post another Vid.

    Cops suck Ass

  • Another example of our "fine" law enforcement people doing their jobs. They disgust me. These poor animals deserved better but were denied any kind of help. Those who refused to help should lose their jobs! I hope this video is seen NATIONWIDE!

  • i just emailed WTAE in Pittsburgh the youtube link and explained the situation. i hope this helps! ~kb

  • This is beyond disgusting. It makes no sense that the rescuers would be legally prosecuted for trying to help these obviously neglected animals. Why there are not laws in place that supercede property ownership is absurd. These are living breathing, sentient beings. If they were children, they'd be resuced instantly. This is sickening.

    Those poor babies.

  • is there a lower quality video that I can get to repost...or does anyone know how to convert this one down to about 1 meg

  • The first thing that needs to be done is to "alert the media." Why try to go through proper channels in a totally whacked legal system?? Go to each and every TV channel for starters! Believe me, it works!

  • What a horrid society we live in.

  • DA Consiglio and Judge Doyle should be fired. Have you thought of bringing this video and your case to the next level? If the Johnston, PA police and AC don't care, maybe the state of Pennsylvania would. Your public service is admirable Thayne. Thanks for your tremendous efforts.

  • This happened yesterday. Are the dogs still there as of this evening? This is awful. I live in Pa and nothing ever happened like this, to my knowledge around the area I live in. We have people that run right out if something happens. The cops in Johnstown suck too, because they could very well have handled it, they have jurisdiction to do so.

  • This kind of cruelty to an animal is addressed in JUST the same xxxing way most cities. Our elected officials, the cops and no one cares, but animal advcocates, Disgusting to let this dog suffer - Call the cops and tell them your feelings.

  • Pertinant information is under MORE INFO in the upper right where the posters profile is.

The dogs are located on Sons of Italy Rd. just off St. Clair Rd.

    West Hills Police 814.255.4145

    Cambria County Humane Society 814.535.6116

    Mark Miller Dog Warden 814.623.3945

  • Mark Miller is not answering any calls for the next several days...real nice these people are cruel.

  • Called police dispatcher. Told him I wanted the name of the officer who came out there that day. A cop is to call me back as time permits (sounds familiar). I told him that officer was an accomplice to animal cruelty and guilty in assisting in that animals death. Also called the humane society and left voice mail. Called dog warden. Got message saying no one is there for a few days to answer complaints and to CALL THE POLICE. WHAT A FREAKING JOKE!!!

  • please continue to keep us all posted on the events as they unfold. it gives all of us more power to effect change in a positive way.

  • When you guys call these people what do you say?? I'd like to call but I'm just not sure what to say, I'm mad but screaming at someone at the H.S. isn't going to get me anywhere.

  • Thank GOD there are people like you !!!!

    Those poor dogs.

    It makes me cry.

  • UNBELIEVABLE! What the heck is wrong with those people. I almost cried seeing that poor dog like that.

  • This is terrible. I will call also. Maybe if we all bombard them with phone calls and messages, something will be done!!! The owner should be thrown in the dog house and chained up till they're sick!!!

  • Hey do you know the right numbers to call, because I really want to help too!

  • Thayne: Perhaps you can shorten your video and submit it to CNN's "iReport" site? And to local news stations as well.

  • Tami - what's the address so we can flood JPD w calls??

  • The dogs are located on Sons of Italy Rd. just off St. Clair Rd.

  • Any updates?

  • I have called the Cambria County Humane Society & left a message regarding these dogs. Maybe if they get a lot of calls they will be inclined to investigate. Those poor St. Bernards need our help. Everyone please call!

  • I am from Johnstown PA and am trying everything i can from afar to help. God Bless these babies.

  • Id like to know more info about the location of the dogs.. Im a member of the Humane Society and ASPCA, I also work at the SPCA in NH, Im currently in J-town visiting family.. Im making calls now .. this is ridiculous and sickening, and the lack of assistance from the local authorities (while not surprising) really pisses me off! Anything you can relay will help!

  • you go girl. together we can do something hopefully!!!

  • I would like to question the owner myself. Is there any way I could get his number?
