  • How is this song not a bigger deal?

  • always really liked Candlebox. just more polished and smoother than some of their brethren but just as strong. 90s were a great musical decade. I think time has told us so.

  • Difficult to hear new stuff like this these days

  • *-*

  • Am I wrong or are there parts of this song missing?

  • @IAMCORNDOG123456 It's not you, its the way bands edit their music down to fit a window of music video time for the MTV and VH1's of the world.

  • They had a GREAT sound! Really killer musicianship! Really too bad they never made it bigger!

  • Candlebox has some great songs...but this video is the worst EVER. It looks like it was produced by a third grader. So lame.

  • @BBSTMembership

Thats a pretty talented 3rd grader!

  • 12-26-2011. He's not blue, he's only 42. Happy Birthday, Peter Klett.

  • @XA7XX7AX HA HA HA, I could be one of your parents.I'm 40 and my kids were born in 95 and 99. My 16 yr old son LOVES Candlebox, Live, Blind Melon and all the stuff he was force fed as a kid. Makes me a good parent, right?

  • @scottandrenae i was born in 86 so the 90s grunge and rock stuff was mainly what i was brought up on. i like a lot of bands my parents like, especially CCR

  • @XA7XX7AX

    omg! CCR !!!! <3 <3

  • @scottandrenae i'm 40 too, and my boys were force fed the same music! That makes us GREAT parents :)

  • Thanks for Posting These Candlebox Vids.

  • Pearl Jam sons!

  • That voice. Wow. That SHRILL CRY could be heard over a sea of screaming people even without a mic.

  • I remember when i first got this CD,i think i was like sixteen, i'd lay on my bed, eyes closed with headphones on and just marvel at the greatness. I'm lucky to have lived during that time. i'll rememeber it till the day i die. Long live grunge. I was lucky enough to see them at a small venue in Boston... In myTop five favorite shows of all time.

  • I saw them for the first time at Rock Werchter in Belgium many many years ago. They were completely unknown, never heard of them but they totally blew me away! Been a fan ever since !

  • @Bietjebell

Sorry It was Rock Torhout, my mistake...

  • I LOVE this band. and Im 15.

  • candle box is better than David Guetta, Taio Cruz, Cascada, La Roux, Enrique Iglesias, Britney Spears, Ke$ha, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Adam Lambert, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Katy Perry, Selena Gomez, Mike Posner, Usher, Timbaland, 3OH!3, & other shitty pop artists

  • One of the few bands of the 90s that included real guitars solos into their grunge/alt sound and style. Such a great band!

  • awsome song miss these days

  • YOU KNOW ITS ALL BEEN WRITTEN DOWN.

  • @DONNANDMARY your destiny is your decision

  • grunge killed metal in the 90s

  • WOW THATS MY TYPE OF MUSIC AMAZIN

  • saw them w metallica, suicidle tendencies and fight they kick ass

  • I saw that concert too. '94 in Houston. Summer, August. It was freaking hot.

  • the best unknow band ever

  • Dude they are pretty fucking far from unknown

  • I see their debut album in almost every CD store I go to, but no one is ever taking a look at it. I did once, but didn't buy it. And then I heard Far Behind >_>

  • @lkillian16

Eh they are relatively unknown. Most people only know "Far Behind" and even then you say "Candlebox, you know they sung Far Behind" and they still don't know until you play it for them.

    Underrated band for sure.

  • @nyrangers731 Underrated because every album after this pretty much sucked ass

  • *Great video but see "The Room" by Tommy Wiseau!AWESOME

**DISCOVER "The Room MOVIE" by Tommy Wiseau! It's FUN!**

  • Anyone going to see Candlebox at Irving Plaza? Send me a message maybe we can meet up.

  • sounds a bit grunge like. awesome song

  • +oleannder: the change is COMING! I hope we r ready.

  • amazing song peice of art man this was musicc!!

  • just too beautiful !

  • the solo part is realy cut down

  • Kevin Martin yep yep yep yep yep yep!!!!!

  • One of my favorite solos of all time...I don't know why I think that but it's just my opinion!

  • whatever im drunk

  • their

  • i think this is there best song.

  • This is the best friggen band that ever was. Their lyrics are from the heart.

  • I must confess, I didn't really care for Candlebox at the time of the first album. It wasn't until I was partying it up at a friend's house and he played the cd and I thought "Holy sht! This is great!" They're a really good band of musicians. The vocalist puts so much heart into his singing, I love his style.

  • man..this whole album is awesome. their new stuff just doesn't compare.

  • That guy has an amazing voice.

  • Kevin Martin yep

  • where is candlebox now? loved this shit!

  • i think they released a new album just recently, heard a new song from them listening to the music choice channel(cable tv)

  • I just saw them in concert in Phoenix, Arizona about a month ago and they were awsome so hang tight they are still around and just put out a new cd.

  • i miss candlebox!

  • CLASSIC *****

  • CANDLEBOX OWNS!

  • These guys with slaughter and Soul asylum and candel box...i'd pay to see that.

  • candlebox!!! fuckin rocks

  • This was the first Candlebox I ever heard..on a college radio station, even before Far Behind. I could not get over how much more primal and honest it was, over the post-grunge posers that were around then...

  • I feel you, I was slighty offended when I didn't see them on the wikipedia stub for grunge. Someone needs to edit that.

  • haha don't get me wrong i like candlebox, but by definition, they're post-grunge, they didn't even form until late 1990. The movement was already in swing and had some mainstream exposure with Soundgarden and Alice in Chains. and by their sound, they're also post-grunge, it's not as dirty-sounding as, say, Nirvana, Mudhoney, or Tad.

  • Yeah they're really more straight out Rock than grunge. I think the same can be said for Alice in Chains and post-1990 Soundgarden the same way. although they also had Metal elements to them. I think a lot of the bands of the early/mid 90's were tossed into the grunge category because they weren't the pretty, glammed up, in-it-for-the-chicks power rock that was all the rage up until then, hence the term grunge.

  • they had to be the best band in the 90's ... their sound is so different and so pure within rock. plus ... they speak so much truth not even with just words, but with everything....!!!! keep on child!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Is it just me or does Oleander sound just like them?

  • shite you're right mate!

  • Most underrated band of all time i think

  • @metallicametal93 Along with Silverchair

  • Candlebox is one of the best bands to come along, that I consider to hang with the greats!

  • the unsung hero of rock, a powerful band, candlebox,im owned.

  • I've heard this song a billion times and never knew it was candlebox.

  • How could you not know this was Candlebox? Who the hell else could it be?

  • my all time fav guitar solo these guys are the best

  • One of my favorite songs...One of the best guitar solos (and I listen to a lot of solos) Peter, you are the man!!

  • I've been reading some of the comments and I couldn't agree more. Todays music sucks!! Not ALL of it, but I'd say 85%.

Where in the Hell are bands like AIC, Soundgarden and yes, Candlebox?!?!?!?!!?

I want to listen to bands that have REAL singers..... Is that too much to ask for?

  • hey. you should check out black stone cherry. they are a rock n roll band from edmonton kentuckey. the guys play their instruments well and their music rocks. they have a myspace page. you can find them here on youtube as well. and if you like metal, check out the autumn offering. you can see their video for "embrace the gutter" here on youtube.

  • i saw BSC in baltimore, they opened for shinedown, they kicked some fucking ass. great band to listen to while doing shots of jack. it was sweet.

  • i love this video

  • F**K Yeah!! Thanks For This One!!!

  • One of my fav songs, another (somewhat) local band (Seattle), this and Cover Me my favorites-intense melodic ballads. Like this better than the la de da "Far Behind" that propelled them.

  • candle boxs is coming to clarkston saturday the 26 at gateway golf center for rockin on the river!

  • i friken love this song!!!!!!!

  • Wow, I had forgotten about this song. Smmmmokin! awesome video too, thanks for sharing this one.

  • Was Martin the original LEAD SINGER.....Fuck was he 18 when they first came on the scene

  • actually he was 24 but yeah i know he looks like if he was 18

  • It's interesting. Being in Seattle when these guys were around in the '90's, I can't think of a single person I knew that like Candlebox. They were definitely a guilty pleasure. I finally went to check them out at the Showbox in '98(?) once Dave Krusen joined up. It wasn't all that great, but the free show they did @ the Mural in '99 was incredible! Kev's got some serious pipes!

  • Great song right here, nice vibe to it

    candlebox are amazing

  • ahhh...Candlebox, brings back good memories of being young. Dudes got a voice thats unforgettable, like Layne Staley. AIC is one of the best bands ever, Mad Season wasn't bad either

  • Another masterpiece song, by such a great band

    CANDLEBOX!!!

  • they rock the box get it

  • WTF the solo was edited. Lame

  • r u retarded candlebox is the best band ever faggot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Has nothing to do with the band moron, I'm talking about the video itself, whoever edited the solo out is lame.. Learn to comprehend

  • are u retarded? he said it was lame that the solo was edited.....you think the song is better with the edited solo? u should lay off the crack and pay attention

  • they were the first band i ever got to see live then have seen 2 more times since. they had such an impact on those years to come...gettin old i guess..me not the song

  • This song is f$cking incredible... I love CandleBox!

  • who doesnt nice choice

  • love candlebox!!!

they remind me of my teens....

  • its greate

  • Wow what a kick ass video too!

  • Dudes....STP, Soundgarden, AIC, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Bush, and Candlebox are my fucking life!! Love that shit!!

  • Right on bro, I got into it all back in high school and it still rocks. I used to listen to this first album of theirs ALL the time, lol!

  • theyre all awesome

  • the 90's man was i cool

  • one of my most favorite songs of all times....and I'm a music connoisseur!

  • conceited

  • cocksure bodkin. Translation - snob.

  • Candlebox owns. Such a great band. Kevin looks like Chris Jericho :)

  • i fuckin love this song. hey johnnywade89 who are other 2 bands of the big four? alice in chains and pearl jam are definite favorites youre right there

  • Soundgarden and Nirvana. I think STP should be in there though.

  • great song i love it and awsome band

  • this is my favorite video and song by them.... plus, it's candlebox, so they aways sound good.... and anyone who disses them should be destroyed

  • I might get bashed for this, but i much rather listen to Candlebox then Soundgarden. The only two bands i really like from the big four are Alice n' Chains and Pearl Jam. In grunge I have my big 5, ALice, Pearl, MLB, Mad Season and Candlebox.

  • not a bash i agree 100%

  • Candlebox is the best!

  • Why can't a band like this come out today. THey would do good on the radio, this sounds very modern.

  • You're right;this doesn't sound dated at all. Still kicks ass!

  • they formed in 1990 and there from seattle

  • r they grunge?i thot grunge bands r those only in seatle area..i like this band

  • Look for a new album and tour this summer!

  • GRUNGE FTW

  • GRUNGE IS ALIVE!!!

  • If you were into alternative in the 90's and did not hear about these guys...you missed out.

  • I love these guys soooooooo much. wish they would come back to NC...man we had so much fun

  • I love this song, i love this band! They dont play this stuff in the radio here. I am sick of all these bands that suck and have no voice at all these days!

  • They edited the solo in the middle. That's my favorite part of the song!

  • dude, they only put in part of the solo... that sucks.... but still candlebox is soooo fucking great. i love how they change styles in there songs.... rock on candlebox.

  • grandes musicos aunque , la verdad, no aportaron nada nuevo

  • They cut the solo, drag!!!

  • I became a candlebox fan when i was 13 years old. I'm 26 now.

  • That sounds abotu the same for me, I'm 27 now and still love this band. I saw them three separate times in my city in the past.

  • que viva el grunge

  • I love GRUNGE! what a great song & video

  • Awesome Band,Awesome Songs,Awesome Music,Just Totally Awesome !!!

  • such a great effin riff

  • Doesn't Kevin Martin look like Chris Jericho at 1:04?

  • fuck yeah he does lol

  • You cant get any better than candlebox. The best then, the best ALWAYS!!

  • they cut this video too short...sigh...the original version is way better...nice video nontheless

  • candlebox don't get the same respect that Smashing Pumpkins and Pearl jam did. however, Change, You, and far behind are some of the best 90's songs I've ever heard. This band sounds like rock more than any emo band today...
