Phil is a natural hoofcare pioneer from my neck of the woods. Through his guidance I learned how to take the care of my horses hooves into my own hands and they are happier and healthier for it! Kudos to Lucinda on a great production.
my horse went barefoot 12 weeks ago and hes doing fantastic, being a thoroughbred i didnt think he would cope but my farrier is really suprized that he is doing this well, this looks like a gr8 dvd i will have a looooook XD
bare foot is the way to go=]my old gelding I'm guessing was barefoot all his life,I dont know much about him but he has great hooves, and all our horses are bare foot
Full length video is excellent. Phil's obvious expertise on the topic, along with his citations of existing literature and other experts, really helped me understand the harm of shoes and benefits of barefoot. Hoof care is expensive -- really neat to learn that it really is feasible to do it yourself, and the instructions are quite clear. Production of the video is very professionally done and makes the material highly engaging. Horse owners should own this video.
I can recommend this to everyone. Give it a try! Every horse owner should know how the foot functions. Thanks Phil. mary rose molenaar

Why always compare barefoot endurance to Wild Horses ??
Wild Horses don't bare 250lb. of tack and rider and they don't travel all day.
Shoes cause shock waves up the leg ? and you show horses on pavement.
Barefoot horses running on our lush green pastures result in fall down injuries.
Idle horses are mostly barefoot. Working horses are generaly shod for all terrain and extended use.
Vigilance in duration of shod time should be stricktly followed.
How many hours do you ride to justify it

Work Horses pulling on pavement? Or just horses on pavement at all. Or any situation were hoof is wearing faster than its growing.
