  • SILVER SHARKS

  • cool

  • in petstore they got decorations and shit

  • Hi there, i have not seen my 3 bala s eat anything since i got them 1 month back....have been feeding floating baby pellets, colour enhancing food, algae wafers,,,,bala don't eat any damn thing.....how are they survivng...??? how to feed them.....plz help...

  • @BAHADURKAMAR Message a guy called pondguru ask him and subscribe

  • @BAHADURKAMAR starve them, BUT only for a few days. My tinfoils did the same thing, my lfs fed them the MOST expensive food and i wasnt about to pay 40 dollars for a cup of food. So you have to starve them for 2 days and then feed them any food. They now eat everything incl. cichlid pellets, flakes, shrimp, lettuce and others. Just vary there diet and they will grow FAST!

  • @BAHADURKAMAR check out my balas in my 125

  • @BAHADURKAMAR Feed them bloodworms. They'll come to the top and snap at them! They love these! Hope this helps.....

  • @2213catlover yea and walmart just leave the dead fish in there smh i hope it is petsmart

  • @2213catlover i know right my walmart has fish and there all dying.

  • @ctarshis01

  • @bobaf15 Thats what i do i love petsmart

  • @bobaf15 if you live on long island go to suffolk county fish and reef. it is the best fish store on long island.

  • that's a lot of sharks for fish tank.

  • @bammargeraskate96 no, they need to be in a tank of about 400 liters at least, they get to be about 35 cm long, if the aquarium is big enough...

  • @bammargeraskate96 no they dont! gala shark are not shark they are somme pengasius look some inage frome google!

  • they look better when they're young before they start putting on weight

  • whould you consider balas a legit shark or a family ancestor

  • @armeniandude99 neither, they are only called sharks because of their body shape, but in reality they are in the Cyprinidae family which consists of carp, minnows, barbs, as well as other "sharks" like the rainbow and the red tailed black shark. True sharks (sharks are cartilaginous fish) did not evolve from bony fish so you can't really consider this an ancestor of the shark.

  • Balas are cute :] I got recently got 2 named sushi and sharky, and it looks like this was recorded at walmart...

  • thats at walmart

  • bala sharks are the only fish Ive ever owned that I cant keep alive for more than a week... fuckin bitch ass balas..

  • @bostonred915 ahahahahahaahhah

  • @bostonred915 same exact problem here

  • Do they eat guppies?

cos in my Aquarium I have 2 gouramis and 4 guppies and 2 bala sharks(the same size as in the vid) and 2 guppies are missing. There are no corpses.

  • if you cant find the bodys, its most likely they have been eated. As i had 3 tiger albino barbs with my turtles a week later, i couldnt find them and there was no bodys. My turtle got a lil hungry.

  • @LiamRomK if there well fed they wont. balas are peaceful fish very shy i have to in a tank with some neon tetras and platys and others and they get along

  • I hope this is in a pet store.

  • @jawsflounderace they are

  • is there any fast breed shark cause im gonna buy some this weekend .. ??

  • Bala Sharks look so cool. :)

They are not part of the shark 'family' though. It's only their name. It's based on their torpedo shape and the fins. :P

Just do a search on Google and you will find plenty of sites explaining it. :)

  • balas are actually in the catfish category because they mostly are bottom feeders

  • ther not sharks ther minnows

  • thats not a minnow retard you obviously dont know anything about fish and you are in grade one , its a bala shark, be smart for once in your life

  • balas look brilliant together

  • u just had to put aqurium salt in the tank and it will heal up

  • thats good to know ,

cas' if that happened to mine i woud be mad .

  • Rofl, these aren't "really" sharks. They're just fish "called" sharks.

  • wrong these fish are sharks not full blooded tho thats why they get only 4inches and eat lilfish and shrimp and stuff very small mouths which makes then not full blooded and they live and hawaii

  • they get wway bigger than 4 inches

  • they grow to about 1.2 feet jackass

  • I had a bala shark for six years that got nearly a foot long before jumping out of the tank and dying. They can get over a foot long with proper care and space to grow.

  • wow that has happened to two people i know 1 to a pet store owner hers cut it self on the glass jumping out and a friend whos aired(drowned) lol :(

  • that is what happened to one of my guppies and goldfish besides the part about it being over a foot long

  • Theres so many! At my local petshop they are 5.99 to 17.99 each. But they don't have half as many.

  • what does a bala sharks egg look like?

  • Is this in the Chinese pet shop? What a big school!

  • They're so pretty!

  • does anyone one know if i could put a anglefish into a 10 gallon community fish tank

  • yes you can, just make sure the tank is tall enough 4 it, bcose its got a out of proportion body. wouldnt worry about it growing 2 35cm, dont fink they grow that big anyway.

  • Do you realise they grow to about 35CM!?

  • i think this is at a pet shop or aquarium store

  • Wow, thats effin big!

  • They fly around tanks. For a comfortable space I'd recommend 15 gallons per inch of bala. But then again who actually has tanks that big
