Hey what kind of bit are you using when you drive her? And did you buy the harness and the cart or were they available for use where you're boarding? I'm just curious because I'm thinking I'd like to start training my horse to drive. If you would let me know any information you think might be helpful I would appreciate it. Thanks.
@Tuxedo646 I'm driving her in the same bit I use for english riding, a loose ring double jointed *snaffle*. Driving must be done in a snaffle; no curb bits. I purchased the harness on ebay & found the cart on Craigslist. Please keep in mind that if you plan to drive your horse, you should have a very solid background in ground driving & do some good de-sensatizing before hooking up , & hire a trainer or instructor for your first few times with the cart.
