  • I can not even imagine having to mic this kit....

  • Its Ok Neil, You can smile buddy!

  • Yay I saw this solo live in Sweden! ^^

  • Three people are jealous of his drum set

  • Needs to get away from all that African rhythm bullshit! How about some Hawaiian drum beats?

  • Three people have no taste in music.

  • Glad he pronounced Neil's last name correctly. Great performance and growth in his abilities! Cant wait to see what he brings to the table on the upcoming album!

  • three dislikes?!? Give me a break!

  • needs more cowbell.

  • now thats a drum kit.........OMG

  • " We're not worthy...... we're not worthy ! "

  • I'm really not hatin, but I do think Thomas Lang is a better drummer overall. Now, before you flame me like crap, I would just like to recognize Peart's abilities and admit that I will nev be on his level, but I think Lang is faster, more technical, and fits the "rock" style drumming better than Neil. Just my opinion.

  • As always, a smokin' grand solo by the Professor!! I only wish the sound was better for this Letterman Performance.

  • Neil is the most amazing. AND Dave said his name right! I have many, many inspired times with Neil, but my favorite special one is that his name is always mispronounced the same way mine is- always getting the "Ur" sound instead of "Ear". Glad he was given this platform, and respected enough to say his name properly. Too bad the morons at the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland can't seem to recognize the BEST DRUMMER EVER and the trio of creativity, talent and genius that is Rush!!!

  • I'd say this is a huge tribute to Steve Gadd. Gadd performed "love for sale" on the Burnin' for Buddy sessions, Neil now uses that tune in his solo and salutes Gadd by using some of his signature fills - they are both great drummers. I just wish Letterman got drummer Dylan Elise, Virgil Donati, Thomas Lang, Colaiuta, Weckl etc. Drum solo month!

  • I saw this current drum solo on tour on Toronto, Québec and NY MSQ.. Sound like a ton of bricks! Universaly awsome..

  • louder drums, less crowd! LOL

  • Saw Rush the night before this broadcast (6-8-2011) in Greenville,SC and Neal played a solo similar to this but much longer.

  • @1016vortex you spelt neil wrong

  • @1016vortex That was a amazing show.

  • Peart is the man. He's a tremendous creative force and an amazingly humble person. Tens of thousands air drumming fans at concerts singing his lyrics is a sight to behold.

  • Got to see him on the Moving Pictures tour 30 yrs ago. As a 17 y/o aspiring drummer I, left the Nassau Coliseum that night with a new hero. Can't believe all these years later he still rocks the skins ...... better than ever no less!

  • I kneel down before the god of the drums and pay homage to the greatest drummer who's ever lived. Bang on forever brother.

  • Is this an android of some kind??? No one can drum like that!

  • @notnilccm The Professor can!!
