by the way, my post was seven months ago, i already have it running and Im doin 11.9 at the track with simple setups. i dont disrespect the atom, all i say is that it can be done. maybe not as fancy looking as the ariel but as fun as the ariel i believe so, why not? and one more thing, Chassis weight is not everything when it comes to design and mechanics brcause of personal experience is ALOT more than that!
K20a engine and an Mr2 Chassis and 2 Bride seats, hopefully I'll have a faster car with a fraction of the Ariel's cost, i will not have the Looks of course, but With time and experience I'll make it look very nice and sporty.
