I second every word you said! He is shy and he does not monopolize media attention like Hal does in all interviews. Gale and Randy have a lot in common, I think. They were the only QAF actors who did not attend the Queer as Folk Lunch Reunion in 2007, which was a great opportunity to promote themselves. I think that says a lot about them. I LOVE THEM FOREVER!

People who stand on stage, both actors and musicians, often tend to be very shy IRL which can be hard to imagine... and with Gale it's really hard to imagine since his character is so confident and... well, not shy. But what if one of us was sitting there, being interviewed - I'm not so sure we'd all know exactly what to say, and how to act, either.
He does seem very shy. He looks down and stuttered a little. That's so sweet and natural. Sometimes celebs just seem so interview ready and it comes off as fake. He was natural and absolutely adorable. And I love his big eyes too. And those juicy lips aint half bad either.
I know how he feels. I hate public speaking cuz you have people watching every word & every move that you make. It's nerve-wracking especially when you don't like being the center of attention like him. In acting, he's around people that he knows & feels comfortable with. Dealing with the media is a different kettle of fish altogether.

Yeah but acting is a performance... and if you're nervous speaking in front of people, I just don't think you can do it. You'd stutter and stumble trying to get through your lines. So how is that any different with public speaking?
hmmm I tell you how. Acting = reading script and you have got all the scenario all on top of your head. At least you have already know what you should do and the director may have taught you what they expect from you. In public speaking you are sometimes asked to give an answer on the spot or face to face. No script, No paper. It's a straight on question and answer from you.

He is really nervous and shy in this interview but that makes him look so innocent and so incredibly hot its unbelievable. I really do love Gale. He is a really sweet honest person and i think his nervousness and his shyness add to his amazing personality and persona. It's easily explained by the fact that usually when they are on camera they are playing a role. In an interview they are supposed to be themselves talking about the role. It's harder to be yourself then act a role. Personally I can run through a scene in a play or something but ask me to be myself and give a speech and I panic and lock up. It just depends on the people.

People who stand on stage, both actors and musicians, often tend to be very shy IRL which can be hard to imagine... and with Gale it's really hard to imagine since his character is so confident and... well, not shy. But what if one of us was sitting there, being interviewed - I'm not so sure we'd all know exactly what to say, and how to act, either.

He does seem very shy. He looks down and stuttered a little. That's so sweet and natural. Sometimes celebs just seem so interview ready and it comes off as fake. He was natural and absolutely adorable. And I love his big eyes too. And those juicy lips aint half bad either.

I know how he feels. I hate public speaking cuz you have people watching every word & every move that you make. It's nerve-wracking especially when you don't like being the center of attention like him. In acting, he's around people that he knows & feels comfortable with. Dealing with the media is a different kettle of fish altogether.

i think Gale is not nervous, he is confident enough. He speaks that way because he doesnt want to blab out just meaningless cliches like some (most other:P) actors to. he actually thinks before he talks. rare in Hollywood :D

I just find it very strange how an actor can be nervous speaking in public (which Gale Harold once said).... ???! When you're acting, you have a whole crew watching you and criticing you....

Well I believe tat many of you may not agree with me coz...the thoughts of Gale who is 'adorable' and 'cute' and other reason for the girls not to give him a bad name. But I got to say...he's kinda the worst public speaker. If you watch many of his interview...he never came up with a good answers as if he needs a paper for him to read from. He's very talented as an actor but tat doesn't make him a good public speaker.

Well you can be an awesome actor (like Gale is) and you may don't know how he was when QaF was made. Some actors though are nervous in interviews and don't know how to speak.

Yeah but acting is a performance... and if you're nervous speaking in front of people, I just don't think you can do it. You'd stutter and stumble trying to get through your lines. So how is that any different with public speaking?

hmmm I tell you how. Acting = reading script and you have got all the scenario all on top of your head. At least you have already know what you should do and the director may have taught you what they expect from you. In public speaking you are sometimes asked to give an answer on the spot or face to face. No script, No paper. It's a straight on question and answer from you.

He is really nervous and shy in this interview but that makes him look so innocent and so incredibly hot its unbelievable. I really do love Gale. He is a really sweet honest person and i think his nervousness and his shyness add to his amazing personality and persona. He is not the narcissistic smug self-obsessed actor that you sometimes see in others. He is shy and that makes him real and awesome and really adds to his personality. And you can see that he really understands his character.

That was so awkward, especially at the end. He seemed to have trouble expressing himself and slightly unhappy to be there. I guess he wasn't having a good day? Quite the antithesis to the character he played.

It's easily explained by the fact that usually when they are on camera they are playing a role. In an interview they are supposed to be themselves talking about the role. It's harder to be yourself then act a role. Personally I can run through a scene in a play or something but ask me to be myself and give a speech and I panic and lock up. It just depends on the people.
