Great whites hit with a LOT of force, usually enough to stun a seal long enough to re-nom it if it misses the first time.

I think that the two surfers in the video were pretty safe. Anyone going into the sea should accept that they may no longer be at the top of the food chain. You might get killed by a shark, yes, a remote possibility. You're more likely to be killed by a meteorite. 100000000 sharks are killed by fishermen every year. So I guess it's more like man eats (or more accuratly discards 99% of the animal) shark.

I go to Hutchinson Island every week and my man is always fishing and has caught several small sharks. One thing that was really weird is a 75 pound king mackel washed up on the shore alive and my husband wrestled it and we had dinner for awhile. You don't know how weird it is here unless you live here people

actually its a case of mistaken identity dude. from below a surfer looks just like a seal, a great whites primary meal. of course any great white worth his salt will go after a seal so it attacks, discovers its Styrofoam and swims away in disgust. course by then damage is already done. as that guy in Deep Blue Sea said, "they REALLY don't the taste of us."

actually that has been put in question. I saw a documentary and the did a test og great whites, making one look like a seal and one like a surfer would look like, for some reason the angle of attack changed. it was odd but it showed the can tell the difference
