  • You are absolutely correct. My mistake.

    Thanks,

  • The march is not Old Comrades by Carl Teike! It's "Hoch Heidecksburg" (english title "The Watch Tower") by Rudolph Herzer.

  • is this cymbal loose? it sounds kinda good with the cymbal loose!

  • Wow! I am so impressed with this. Sounds like a great hobby to get into. Is it expensive? How does one get started?

  • Very. Antique organs will run you 10-20,000 dollars. Reproductions probably would cost less, and require much less maintenance because they don't have perishable leather parts like the originals.

  • Such a beautiful sound. The first time I ever heard a band organ was while riding a carousel at Boardwalk and Baseball at(aka Circus World) down here in Haines City, FL. Sadly, the park is nolonger here.

  • Thanks for the nice comment. This Band Organ spent quite a few years on a Carousel in the Los Angeles/Long Beach area. I too love the sound and play it most every day.

  • @max9046 Where did you get it? how much was it?

  • What an incredibly beautiful instrument. Thank you so much for sharing it!

  • Thanks for the comments. The flageolets are turned off in that video. Even with glass covering the front opening, it's still very loud inside, so I usually turn off one of the higher ranks.

Also, I'm going to try another Mic. That recording used the internal - which muddies the drum sounds and leaves out the highs.

  • Nice arrangement! Organ sounds good, though for some reason I can't hear the flageolets...
