Many people find it frightening to ring here but it is actually one of the safest ringing chambers because you can see what is holding you up!

They are really very nice to ring - they go well and there are no real issues with floppy ropes or odd-struckness. I was fine while ringing, but then got a bit of queasiness when I didn't have the ringing to concentrate on! If you're in the area and have the opportunity to ring there, then go for it - you only live once!

It really isn't particularly scary up there. Being next to the large windows, you get a good view of the town and, as Ket says, the bells are very nice to ring.
