Of the two official stereo mixes the US one is the best because it has much less reverb. The UK mix is drowned in reverb. There is also a raw stereo "mix" found on bootlegs that has the drums/bass left, vocals/solo centered, rhythm/lead guitars right.

@Brianbellew: This is the British mix of the song. Capitol never remastered Day Tripper in mock stereo. I actually prefer the American (Capitol) mix over the British one because of the single guitar riff starting at the beginning versus the dual sounding guitar riff on the British mix. I grew up with the American release (Yesterday..And Today album, the American 1962-1966 album). While Capitol had their mock stereo diasters, the US Day Tripper version wasn't one of them.
