The plane is at least 150' above this house.

With about 30 seconds of research I was able to find that this near Zaventem airport in Brussels. The closest house to the touchdown point of any runway at this airport is 1/2 mile (you can measure on Google Earth). Airliners approach on a 3 degree glideslope which is 300' at 1 nautical mile. Therefore 1/2 mile would be 150 feet. The old man is exaggerating.
