  • i lived in Alewa Heights in the early 1980s. my wife and i went to Makapuu almost every day. when we broght our sons there 20 years later,(ages 12 and 10.) 2 teenage girls from NY tried to get in the waves in tiny tiny bkinis. 1 good shore break and those girls were buck naked. my boys said it was the best vacation they ever saw....and it took the life guards an awful long time to get those girls out of the water...HAHA
