Sorry, I don't have that one. If you're referring to the 1937 Decca recording... that's a very rare 78. I think it was reissued on LP vinyl in the 1970s, but I don't think it's currently available on CD.
bsgs98, thank you, I like "Glorianna" very much. I counted, there are no less than 37 Jesse Stafford recordings to hear/download on the RHJ website from '28 to '31. I prefer the earlier '28/29 ones as being more 'peppy'. Sorry to say my 78 collection only gathers dust these days.
Thank you bsgs98, what a great version, gives George Olsen more than a run for his money!
Loved the strong bounce, the tuba, the reeds and the vocal. Your pictures are brilliant seen in High Quality - the first such posting I've had no sound problems.
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. This was one of the first 78s that I bought when I started collecting over 40 years ago. So it's always been one of my favorites.
By a very happy coincidence (or was it that a VIP was reading us?)I find that this version now appears on the marvelous Red Hot Jazz website in YELLOW (free listen/download)! Also "Dust" by JS, a number recently posted twice on YT.
In case you didn't know, the reverse side of this record was "Gloriana" another great 20s tune by Jesse Stafford. It can be found elsewhere on YouTube, posted by user 240252.
