eh i like farcry for its realness (except for the people we all no that the only thing that looks fake) but it not near as action packed as cod. its more of a quiet cinda game not much action but it is fun, while cod is massivly action packed and you can play hours on end but the cod campainghns are not very good as were farcry campaighn is good, cod has better wepins but farcry has more custyom options in some areas, there both good in there own way, fc multiplayer lackes tho its a bit cheap
the funny thing about far cry multiplayer is the map editting in my opninion and you will see lots of maps instead of playing in the same multiplayer over and over again until they bring out a dlc. i like cod4 and Fc 2 but they are kinda different.

This game sucks and it has a ton of glitches. Multi-player is an epic fail with sniper noobs all over the maps. 8 guys per side with huge maps? LMFAO great idea Ubisoft.
Single player is great for a halfhour and then it all gets very repetitive. COD 4 is a fps just like FC2 which invites comparison as a multi-player game. No balance on weaponry either which favors snipers with only 8vs8 on mp maps that are too big for just 16players. This is the first game I have seen where people were lined up to try to return the game just hours after playing lol. I witnessed about 10 ppl ask for store credit to put it down on COD 5. EPIC FAIL FC2!!!!
COD4 is nothing like FC2. COD4 is closest to Counter Strike. FC2 is like Crysis. It is a game for you to make creative, new and refreshing ways to kill your enemies. You cannot do this in Cod4, BF2, CS, or any other FPS other than Crysis. If you say COD4 is similar to FC2, it begs the question, in what way? Differences are: 1. Vehicles 2. Open world 3. item/object breakdowns and problems 4. Healing 5. Dynamic Weather and Time 6. Realistic damage(hitting foot wont kill enemy in FC2) 7. Smart AI
You admitted to not playing multiplayer correct? I suggest you play it which is the basis of my argument. I am comparing FPS that involve TDM, DM, etc etc. Joint Operations has most of the aforementioned and was released in May 2004 well before Far Cry 2. It is not that innovative other than it's graphical prowess. It's a game with a lot of potential but it is nowhere as good as was advertised. Play COD 4 multi and then FC2 and tell me which is a better online experience.
I am glad you like the game but we both agree COD 4 is the superior online game which was my primary point of contention. FC2 is an enjoyable single player experience if you like games that hold your interest for one week at best. I'll admit it has tremendous potential, but it wasn't fully realized in this version. I will wait for FC3 and hopefully they will get it right.
for peopel asking if this can be done on xbox then. No it cannot be doen this is being done in a 3d modeling program that they make the models in and they can control the shaders and vertex movement as shown in video.

Uhm, the RSX card in the PS3 has the same performance as 2 6800GS Ultra's. That's possibly low-mid end. Nothing near High end though, since High End is DX10/11.

Ps3 is better in all specs. The elite has a 100gb hard drive, and the Ps3 uses laptop hard drives... that means you can put a 320gb laptop hard drive in it. The ps3 and xbox 360 aren't "modable" because they use technologies that have the chips soldered into the mother board. They also use non viable cpu's that are tailor made for the systems. So there is no way you can do anything to the cpu or gpu of the system. Please stop lying on the internet and atleast do some reaserch before you try.

I disagree, I loved the single-player, haven't tried the multi-player, so i wont talk about it.
Its open world design, with possibilities to to do almost all methods of approach. Even more than Crysis.
This isn't supposed to be a game like CS, or BF, or Cod4.

It is clear this game, much like Crysis is based on Single Player gameplay. With maybe exception for warhead.
I prefer Farcry2's Single player over Cod4's single player anyday.
However, multiplayer wise, Cod4 wins the cake.
This in no way undermine what Farcry2 was intended to be good at.
It is innovative in that it allows multiple ways to get about one objective, where no game except crysis has ever come close.
As well as the realism with its amazing animations.

i got a ps3 and any game that i have for both my ps3 and pc is better on my pc and runs smoother, plus my pc isnt even top of the range. I've got 8800GTS and 2GB of DDR2/Core2 Duo 6750 OC to 3.2Ghz - thats all it takes to wipe the floor with "next gen consoles". PC for teh win! The only reason to own a console is to get games that dont come out on pc. This power debate is pointless

Uhm, the RSX card in the PS3 has the same performance as 2 6800GS Ultra's. That's possibly low-mid end. Nothing near High end though, since High End is DX10/11.

So your saying high end is DX10/11 [even though there is no such thing as DX11], and that ps3/xbox360 only uses dx9? Yeeeaaa, that's why Killzone 2 for ps3 won best graphics, and Fable 2 for 360 is confirmed to use dx10 graphics and run at 30fps. Maybe you just "forgot", but DX10 is required to run dynamic realtime particles and volumetric lighting, which is used in most games today. A designer of FC2 said himself that the games graphics arent different varried between consoles and pc.

Its true, yes, DX10 works on all manner of Operating System, Vista, XP, *nix Distros etc. etc. It is also true that DX10 works on most modern cards and that Killzone 2 won best Graphics at GT 2008. DX9 was used for almost 5-6 years and even now few games offer DX10 support. DX11 will not be developed for years and I am saying 3 at the very minimum. Ps3 is better in all specs. The elite has a 100gb hard drive, and the Ps3 uses laptop hard drives... that means you can put a 320gb laptop hard drive in it. The ps3 and xbox 360 aren't "modable" because they use technologies that have the chips soldered into the mother board. They also use non viable cpu's that are tailor made for the systems. So there is no way you can do anything to the cpu or gpu of the system. Please stop lying on the internet and atleast do some reaserch before you try.

you realise that a bigger hard drive doesnt make any system better? all a harddrive does is hold data it doesnt improve the speed, graphics, etc...just holds data. and we all know that the only reason it has 120gb is to try and beat the ps3 by doubling its 60gb, i mean who is gonna use 120gb anyway? ive had my 80gb ps3 since its release and ive only used 45-50gb and it has a lot of stuff on it.

the only other realistic cars ive seen in a game are from gt5 and that whole game is based on cars, this is a shooter and cars are only a part of it, so ill say they done a pretty good job on it.
