That left such an impression on me when I first heard this song and has stayed with me for so many years..... how does he write such unbelievably insightful lyrics.... they do "cut to the core"
i think bob had like eight different endings and never came to an actual conclusion... since he just forgot about it joan baez took it and riecorded it... and as far as it would've been his highlight, PLEASE, this guy was famous with or without this song
I like this actually. Such a great song and such a shame Dylan never recorded it. For most other artists this would be a career highlight - Bob just discards it and moves on.
Not a bad effort, very nice. Would still like to hear Dylan do it but 1) I'm not dead yet and 2) yu can't have everything.
