I've always loved this kind of music but now im a bit older it means so much more to me. Could be because there is so many tallentless artists out there these days. IDK...
I thought i listened to all good songs back in them days, but somehow i missed this one, one of the best, if not the best, tho i dont rly like the version very much
This is the best, and the original version, keyboards and synthesizers ensures the progressive side of music, when I mix a song or make a set, use up some songs to integrate into the back ground video editing, I love even more to hear on a trip, able to traverse the streets with speed! love it!
so much better than all that dubstep shit floating around, i've been listening to loads of my 90's vinyl lately, i've just finished listening to leftism, what a fuckin trip down memory lane.
I mean, you could dislike EDM...but there are some songs that just cross all barriers of music genres. You could only like Rock, Hip Hop, Pop, Metal, Jazz, etc...but some songs are just GOOD MUSIC.
And this is one of them. Awesome melody and beat.
@vonrollskyway1 That is so sad to hear, he was a great artist... This track is one of my all time top 5... I remember this track so vividly, now it is even more special. Many thanks to the wonderful artists who create such beautiful tracks.
the kids these days can say wot they want about modern dance culture, but anybody who was between 18-30 in 89-91 will know that nothing will ever come close to the generation we had.
i miss them so much but the memories will never fade!
@cdjruski I totally agree with you. The trance today has basically become pop music. I can't even find true Ibiza Trance anymore because it simply doesn't exist. "Chillout" Anthem Trance is now called Ibiza Trance.
@canadia7x hey matey theirs lots of good stuff out there yet and theirs the usual amount of cheese. i find that alot of the good older stuffs been repackaged over and over but theres plenty of good shit there yet just harder to find. you get alot of good stuff in the podcasts like atot or tatw or radio shows like anjunabeats word wide and also jatechs podcast although prog house theres still some real good drivin stuff there. but theres still lots of good stuff out there ;D
been awhile since I heard this. actually brought tears to my eyes, all the wonderful memories. losing myself in the sound, but aware that there were others lost in the same place as you were, and when your eyes met, you knew that everything that was happening @ that moment was meant to be, and everything was in its right place.
New Orleans...Oz..... around sunrise on a hot and humid morning in late August..... this track raining down on the dance floor.... partying with some Quarter strippers after their shift....
Reminds of taking lsd and listening to laurent garnier mix tapes with the martin luther king i have a dream speech on top baaaaddd assss. RIP Mark Spoon....
I think that the music scene from 90-93 was EPIC. With artists like Jam and Spoon, Liberty City, The Fog, Awesom-3 (Dont Go) The Future sound of London, Dub Tribe, Afix Twins, Coco Steel and Lovebomb, and many others.... Not sure what it is, but when I go to parties now (Of course Im older) but I do not get the same Vibe... Im sure people have just as much fun.. but I will never forget my first Paty I went to... .It took 2hours to find... passwords to get... LOL that was fun! true Adventure
@JuergenGDB Hi I agree with you about the music from that time. Although age has something to do with our percpetions in hindsight it was also a very innovative period for music as electronica developed in many different directions. It felt like there was a new sub genre being invented every weekend.. Very classy period also
@JuergenGDB That is why I'm collecting these tracks and many of which for the life of me could not make out the tracks' names either because I was spaced out or the DJ was spitting them faster than I could make a note of.
Golden piece of history couldn't agree more and I was glad I got to here it!
@thompstaff Um actually if you read my reply the artists or songs all date to the early 90's. Chicane did not really get popular tll the late 90's, and he is more mainstream, thats why I did not include him....and others. What I had replied with were CLASSICS... Chicane obviously is good, but it gets to be like white noise after awhile.
@JuergenGDB Point taken mate :) I just got a soft spot for Chicane :) And this song and many of the others from the artists you named are often all on the same mix CDz together :) ( Especially Ibiza Chillout & Winter Chillout sessions from this era) But one things for sure............. The age from 90 to 2004 was the best IMO, so many good tunes that still! blow your mind and make the memories of those fantastic times, just come flooding back :)
one of the best retro numbers ever! I forgot all about and heard it on the radio and felt 16 again!
