No it isn't legal to grow opium, srry bro. The seeds are legal though for some reason. The seeds themselves contain morphine but in very small amounts. And actually they are real easy to grow from what ive read, but you need land... Land which is not easily spotted by nosy neighbors :)

Well all the political, economic, social and militaristic conflicts in this country triangle are deeply routed in the Baluch and Pashtu resistance against any rule than their own. Bah! They don't give a shit about Euro kids; Iran has a significant drug problem itself. I know living in Canada you want to think Iran is this perfect theocratic republic filled with sinless Shias, but it isn't. Kids do drugs they party they have sex; they have a drug problem there and needle exchange centers to cut down on disease.

Illegal sanctions? Take the EU to court then, you have no leg to stand on. You do also realise the EU and Iranian trade is actually increasing, these sanctions are specifically directed at financial institutions and prominent individuals.

The sanctions are effecting the government because your President is directing its international banks to change tact and convert their funds into the national currency.
What is of detriment to the "normal people" is the economic mismanagement of Iran by its government. Inflation and unemployment were there before the sanctions, in fact, Europe is buying more goods from Iran than at any time in its history.
