@patriceregis So does that mean that these are not good for hearing bass in beats? I just ordered these today and I will cancel the order if I cant hear the bass well.
@2SugarsPleeze thats online shopping for you....never what it appears to be. had i known that they were that small in person judging by this video i wouldve got some bigger monitors. fuuuuuuuck! and mines are still on its way. gotta depend on my headphones for making beats.
As a DJ these speakers are so easy to setup and use,I've had them over 6 months and have recoreded from the sound output playing from the mixer to the RCA jacks. No CD recorder is required if your a DJ recording your mixes, just plug into USB and record the sound output onto your laptop
Hi! I have one question only. So does that mean that there is no need to use another audio interface? This is my situation: I bought an M-audio Fast Track Pro interface one month ago, and I'm looking for monitors now, and I just watched this video. Do you think I can record my music just using these Alesis monitors without my Fast Track Pro interface? Bye!
12 months after I bought a pair of these (exactly when the 1 yr warranty expires!), the left speaker, after just a few minutes of listening at moderate volumes, dropped down in level by about 10db below the output of the right speaker, causing a severe balance issue, that can only be remedied by turing the volume knob way up on the right speaker. Alesis tech support did nothing to help, except tell me to pay for the repair myself and take them to an authorized repair facility 12 hours away!
I just bough these and they can not be installed on Windows 7 Dell because it is asking for drivers. The funny thing is that these computers do not need drivers. they are just plug in and play. I wish I could by pass this as i am sure they are great. Any suggestions?
@SenRaps Mine sound perfect. Actually, for that price you can't beat that. Perhaps Sen expects $2000 in $99 monitors.
They are true sound, not too loud to bother anyone, but just the right amount of sound. For $50 per monitor basically, it's the best deal. Plus they are active.
they are good, i vouch for em. they are good for hearin the lows and highs and mids on a budget. take ur shit to a professional studio if u need it mixed real well.
what people dont get is monitors are only part of the sound process. u need the right environment to mix properly as well. people buy 400 dollar monitors and they own dell computers mixing fruity loops in a brick basement
You can record with your speakers... Or... It's the other way around?! Now i'm going to record my new album with my toaster and my new USB fridge... Sooooo awesomeee...
Don't believe the hype!
I have these and they are truly awful.
No crisp tight Bass, just muddy whoof! whoof!
Worst speakers EVER bar none.

@2SugarsPleeze i heard that it have a bass booster switch...does that help at all?
505BANKMONEY 1 week ago
@505BANKMONEY Bass booster is "off" and even with it "off" they sound very loose and boomy! :-(

@505BANKMONEY my old user name (BlueSuedeTom) has popped up sorry!
Best of luck with the speakers.
I mean they don't allow any control over Bass or Treble, that is a big let down.
