  • I don't know why, but I felt like going to this video when I heard about ACTA

  • When he hits the high note...amazing

  • My english teacher made us write the lyrics to our favorite song. Guess what I chose :3

  • This is just really great.

  • i like to think of it as the futuristic capabilities of computers/robots that respond to your every command... OK Computer.

  • It seems this video really influences one of my greatest friends...

  • karma police bought me here

  • When I first saw this, I was all right until 1:48.

    Then I freaked.

  • if you unplug your headphones to where its a little distorted you can hear the backing vocals. i think theyre saying something like "the pentagon has just been hit". man thats seriosly fucked up. OK Computer best album ever

  • @Haveada your imagination is running wild, ok computer was made in 1997

  • @Haveada You trippin bro?

  • And now I want to listen to Electioneering!

  • If you have a new Iphone ask Siri "What is the meaning of life?" and see if her response reminds you of this song.

  • activate the following procedure!

  • Best song of Ok Computer

  • all time favorite song of Stephen Hawking...

  • No bad dreams, no paranoia...

  • This shit scares the fuck out of me, but it's incredibly true.

  • Sad but true.

  • Well, so are we supposed to be fat, eat shit all day, be lazy and ultimately starve to death? It's not like I cheer for capitalism, but until a better system comes along, we all have to deal with it. It's one of those little things that no single human being can change just by wanting it, it's a massive collective change that happens extremely slowly. Either wait for that change or be against it and live in misery.

  • @Retrovibes this video isn't about political ethics, it's about emotional ethics.

  • @Boxrag i dont know what thoms intentions were, but i wouldnt narrow this down to emotional ethics, my two cents.

  • @aeorta5 point taken. I was mostly saying that political ethics is a pretty obtuse topic for thom to narrow it down to.

  • @Boxrag what is so obtuse about political ethics? i dont think every song is about that, but after i look at some of the songs in "hail to the thief" i think they go beyond the emotional. ive heard 2+2=5 paralleled to george orwell's 1984. i think he makes statements about the condition of society here and there. maybe not so politically though. that is to say, i dont think ive heard him go directly after a politician.

  • @aeorta5 Well, societal commentary isn't obtuse at all, which is what 2+2=5 is more leaning on. Politics in general are obtuse; everyone knows they're a joke and unethical, not much else to say. Let me reiterate, this is just my opinion, of course.

  • @Boxrag i always correlate between society and politics. politics change society. how (in your opinion) are they unethical? i dont know how to begin to understand a lack of ethics behind politics. are you saying that politicians in general are unethical? i could understand how the stereotypical politician might be unethical i.e. "vote for me! so i can manipulate your desires for my own selfish agenda!" but if you simply disagree with the prospect of HAVING politics, then im confused.

  • @aeorta5 they are most definitely correlated, but society is such a more broad and profound concept than politics. Politics, in general is unethical-- it breeds unethical behavior, supports unethical notions, etc; your example is a good one.

  • @Retrovibes A system doesn't change on it's own. And people who are against that current system isn't necessarily living in misery, actually I believe that if you stand up for what you believe in, you'll like yourself for doing that.

  • Great material for delayed adolescents for justifying why they are poor, uneducated, or unemployed. "Hey man, I'll never sell out!" As if anyone would buy your unskilled, petulant and childish attitude.

  • @studio7manga

What if I have no job but still well off financially and I agree with this video?

  • I tried to play that song for my friend but he got freaked out 1/4 of the way through

  • Amazing video.

  • that "song" is the most disturbing thing in the world. Disturbing because we don't want to realise that we are 'fitter happier'. Just like robots...

Brillian depiction of the western world!

  • That is weird. But great at the same time. I am confused.

  • This track really tied the album together.

  • @rockyrigby

Your phrase reminds me a scene ofn the big lebowsky that goes something like this: the rug really tied the room together

sorry for comment i just couldnt resist because i love the movie

  • @MrStarbucks1986 really? I think it's what tied the entire album together

  • This would've been the perfect theme for the film 1984.

  • why the FUCK was this on OKC? technology, modern life etc, i get it but still, i can't survive it. only flaw on a near perfect album

  • this is so fucking sick!

whoever made this video, he is fuckin' godlike!

    AWESOME!

  • this song gives me nightmares

  • Sing for Absolution by Muse uses similar piano, it came after.

  • This is a good song ( but a little disturbing)

  • Stephen hawking turned into a real pessimist

  • just subscribe this movie on maketower. com for you and your children as well

  • Great song (from a great album), and one question: Is Thom Yorke talking?

  • @xltspy no its a computer

  • @Haveada OK. :)

  • this makes me cry

  • SUCH A GOOD ANIMATION! that's so cool!

  • This is Tyler Durden's favorite song

  • fits well with rainymood (google it) also

  • slender man?

  • @fuclcjewtube shut up you racist pig.

  • its really unbelievable, how the words fit together and give one detailled but ceherent image. Nothing is out of place, yet everything is surprising, also because it seems to come really from inside of my head (which is something, that I really love Radiohead for in general). But its justs as unbelievable, that the maker of this video managed to make a video that absolutely fits the song and my imaginations coming from it. Truely Great! Thank you!

  • @Emnor1993 *coherent

  • absolutely genious

  • i thought it was an official video.

    done really great

  • @pabloiranzo I was referring to peoples comments, the animation is good!

  • Provocative songs like this make Radiohead the band they are, IMO.

Thank you for the awesome video!

  • i wonder if the band members get chills when they hear this too

  • The guitar solo in this is absolutely genius!

  • We all understand this track, why try to deconstruct it? This isn't some dreary compare and contrast english-lit question.

    It's like explaining a joke.

  • @tombac99 idk i kind of liked it, the animation kind of reminded me of the instructional video's in Portal 2 and increased the creepy government agency factor by like 10

  • This is a great video!

  • A pig... in a cage... on antibiotics

  • SLENDERMANNNN

  • This song should be impregnated into the minds of every newborn child followed by the banner headline "Welcome to life. How much can you fuck things up?" over a picture of Jeremy Kyle doing the smug face.

  • goosebumps....every time.

  • WHY does this make me SO sad :(

  • i think i don't get the metaphor in the end with the pig in a cage on antibiotics completely.. can anyone explain what the antibiotics and the cage stand for?

  • @48FH i myself think it means we are trapped by our own disgusting igsistance and we mask it all with our technologies and medication (but im weird)

  • @48FH It's a pig destined for slaughter. Slaughtered animals are pumped full of antibiotics.

  • @SFtheWolf Woah I didn't know that. I thought It was a metaphor for how we're spoiled and overfed and fet and complacent (you know, standard pig metaphor), antibiotics for the overmedicated, sterilized, overprotective, emotionally and intellectuallu numb society we're in, and the cage is how we're trapped in it and can't escape.

  • @RonaldinhoReborn The meat industry is a living metaphor for human excess!

  • @48FH

It means a middle-class white man or woman (pigs) trapped in a life full of debt due to mortgage, loans, credit cards etc (cage) taking anti-depressants to put up with their empty lives (antibiotics).

  • @ninearthify antibiotics are not the same as anti depressants.

  • @k0kidd

thanks for the stupid accuracy statement. If you can't understand a metaphor why are you listening to radiohead ? Men and women are not the same as pigs, mortgages are not the same as cages either.

  • @k0kidd His point was that the Anti-Depressants protect the humans from suffering due to the shit filled sad empty lives they live and the anti-biotics protect the pigs from getting ill due to their disease filled factories

  • Watch the zeitgeist moving forward for free on YouTube. It is truly a wake up call.

The lyrics of this music truly show the weakness in our society, and the strength in those controlling it.

  • I feel... Better... Head hurts... I miss warm feelings.

  • Apparently, living the so-called "Ideal" lifestyle is so dehumanizing that it basically rots your soul into an oblivion, and you basically become a shell of a person, not feeling or loving, which is a fate even worse than death. Man...

  • @qwepoiqpalzm did you steal this from a comment on song meanings.com or are you the same person?

  • @qwepoiqpalzm

Couldnt have put it better honestly. I think EVERY single person in the world should hear this song.

  • When I heard this song for the first time I seriously got chills. I was just completely freaked out, which is pretty weird for me, especially with a song I knew was coming up next. It's just horrifying in a strange way.

  • This concept is a metaphor as to how us humans force ourselves into living in society.

    Think.

    About.

    It.

We live the lifestyle we force ourselves to live.

    I hate society.

  • They are so prone to deadly bacteria because of their cages.

The shit they live in in is cheaper than a proper cage, so why not? You can just fill em up on antibiotics and BAM: resistant-to-illness-pig. Can now survive in filth, yet miserably anyways.

  • A pig.

    In a cage.

    On antibiotics.

The more we use antibiotics the more resistant bacteria become to them by a process called natural selection.

Most of the antibiotics in the world go to farm animals because the filthy environments we keep them in, is killing them.

  • The modern life of Capitalism.

  • It's really about a man living the perfect life, but going insane over it. This is why Radiohead is the greatest thing that has ever touched my ears. Ever.

  • This is what makes Radiohead one of the best modern bands today they are experimental with their music.

  • holy shit dude THIS IS AWESOME !!!!!!

  • i hate society

  • Best filler song ever

  • "Will not cry in public". For some reason these words hit home for me and a single tear ran down my cheek. This is the first time music has moved me in such a way. Thank you pabloiranzo for this astounding animation.

  • this is sooo creepy but amusing but yet scary

  • This is beautiful.

  • =-(

  • This song makes me think of an insane man...When he starts to go crazy he needs to play this "recording" to keep him from doing something stupid in public...

  • awesome work dude

  • Is it just me or did the slenderman make an apperence at 0:03?

  • this song mindfucks you

  • amazing

  • apparently thom wrote this song with one of his fans by email !

  • we live in a terrible world.

  • flawless. you are truly an artist.

  • AMAZING!!

  • hey! this animation is fantastic! i also did a fitter happier video a little while ago and just posted it a few days ago, you should all go check it out! /watch?v=HdDSzALAhiI

  • I love the Star Wars reference!

  • @browninky Star War's Reference? I'm so ashamed i missed it!

  • what the fuck did i just watch?

  • Somehow i always knew good music would save the world. Please learn about the Zeitgeist Movement and the Venus Project.................. well of course first TURN IT UP!

  • someone should find a way to take out the computer voice and make a somewhat MORE instrumental version of this song. i think that would be great.

  • @unit731christ haha, ok computer

  • @calebre i don't get it. haha

  • Wow, thanks for your words lebloulou!!

  • @pabloiranzo brilliant animation, nothing short of brilliant

  • wow you did an amazing job with this animated video, it really fits perfectly with the atmosphere of this song

  • Does this remind anyone of Industrial Society and its Future?

  • The lyrics of this almost perfectly describe Julianne Moore's character in the movie Safe (which coincidentally, came out around the same time as OK Computer).

  • I wonder how much they paid Stephen Hawkings to feature in this...

  • At my spring middle-school dance I requested this song and even paid the dj ten dollars to make sure its the last song played. Afterwords, everyone was creeped and bummed out, so naturally they thought of me as crazy when I couldn't keep myself from laughing hysterically at their confused and scared faces.

Among the awesomest things I've ever done.

Your a fucking buzzkill twat, now i know who gets off on this song...buzzkills!

  • @mastersanwan uhm I'm not a buzz killer you're just, well, a blind idiot who says stuff without thinking or realizing how dumb he or she sounds.

  • @mastersanwan wow you're an idiot

  • @myveryowntaste

well, the song was kind of "inappropriate" for the occasion, as most people wouldn't enjoy or understand it

  • @myveryowntaste that inspires me to play this when we all finish school next year...it will be like a prevision of how all my schoolmates lifes will look like...a small sweet revenge for 7 years of being surrounded by ignorance...but i live in germany so i guess most of them wont understand shit anyway

  • @myveryowntaste

    You sir, are my hero.

  • @myveryowntaste we would be friends if I could travel back in time.

  • @myveryowntaste I would like to add my name to the list of folks who applaud you for this.

  • @myveryowntaste jajajajajaja.

  • what......the............fuck

  • i think if i listen to this once again, i start writing something on the walls of my room

  • true words..

  • Does this remind anyone a little bit of 1984 (George Orwell)?

It has that same creepy tone. Great (albeit slightly disturbing) video :)

  • @xTheGirlAnachronismx sure. Radiohead have been influenced by G. Orwell. Notice the song 2+2=5 from Hail to the thief album; its a direct reference to the Orwellian use of the 2+2=5 statement, in his book 1984;)

  • 28 reasons to wear a condom

  • fitter. happier. another Radiohead album.

  • MICROSOFT SAM IS A LYRICAL GENIUS

  • This is amazing.

  • Thank you! Thank you!Thank you!Thank you!

  • 26 people aren't fitter happier

  • It tortures me to think about living like this, and yet i'm "careful to all animals" and "never [wash] spiders down the plughole." Oops.

    Love you Radiohead.

  • This is a really awesome video to this "song". Did an excellent job. Almost looks like charcoal art?

Anyway very cool man, favorited and thumbed up.

I'm making this song my new years resolution to just be overall better. So will be watching this more than once this year for inspiration.

  • Csikszentmihalyi........if you think this is terrifying. Read Empire of Illusion by Chris Hedges.....

  • Best freaky depiction of the freaky Radiohead song

  • The freaky bit is when that 'no escape' suddenly appears in the midst of all the forced cheerfulness

  • This video is so well done that, at the beggining, I thought that it was the official Radiohead video.

    Congratulations!!!

  • Awesomely genius.

  • I love listening to the monotone slowly slipping backwards...

  • This brilliant!

  • This "song" always reminds me of 1984 somehow...

  • @BeeryGamer Oh, but we're already living in 1984 my friend.

  • @BeeryGamer For me, it's Brave New World.

  • I'm a little upset that there was no actual shot of baby in back seat. But I'm over it. KICK ASS VID YO!

  • Like a cat, tied to a stick, driven into frozen winter shit.

  • Listen closely... Section 917 may have been hit. Activate normal procedure.

  • How very shallow and judgmental this is.

  • this is eerie

thumbs up for the vid though so awesome

  • If you watched this on acid, you'd probably kill yourself :(

  • esta realmente brutal!!!

  • And that's how Microsoft Sam got his fame -__-

  • @royalsteven sounds more like LH Mike... 0_o

  • Yes I was doubting wich name to use in my comment :D

  • this is fucking shit.

  • Great work on the video, kudos to you...!

  • @packdude182 youre soo wrong dood. you dont take time to think about it, about wat it says i thought the same too at the begging but i looked up information about OK Computer and it has lost of things even each song!! u need time to really think and analyse wat it means;).

    My respects for radiohead
