@TerraceArchimedes Is that why he left? Never to be seen again? Also, based on the story: Luna did not give everlasting life, she just gave life with a death until Braikingboss ****ed it up, and made everybody diseased rats. Point is, this story is awful.
@MasterShot2k5 No thats not true at all. You see, before the RUIN, Both Humans and rebots enjoyed an eternal live. No one died. There was an unbalance going on However, some people and robots needed to be killed for some reasons (punished, or desire) and Luna would kill them. She mentions how she got tired of hearing people scream and seeing them cry. Braking Boss saw this and realize it was wrong there was an unblance. So he created Casshern and order him to kill Luna.
@MasterShot2k5 In reality this is what Luna wanted. She wanted to give life not take it away. She hated death and thought that the best way to escape death was to kill those near death. She didn't understand that death wasn't people suffering, but people no longer alive. She was confused so she sought to give people eternal life instead now of taking it away as she did before. Breaking Boss wasn't the bad guy he just saw the unbalance going on. So he made war with Humans and the world ended.
Casshern didn't understand death or life in the beginning. He couldn't comprehend what death was because he was immortal but through those experiences, he realize that both death and life were precious something Luna did not realize. He left because because after the death of those loves ones, he understood with the current world situation people needed to live longer. But he also realize that as people live longer, they stop caring about things. Remember when they arrive to that town?
@MasterShot2k5 That town with the crazy robots in the end. He had eternal life but were not doing anything about it. Just oh hey I have eternal life now no more ruin I guess I better not do anything about it. But the experiences he saw with people struggling with the RUIN and trying to live and last just a single day made realize that with eternal life comes death, People die in the inside. He left because he felt shame and upsetness not being to experience that blaze people felt.
@MasterShot2k5 But after witness the death of his loves ones, it broke his heart into realization. Life was too short but immortality was just as bad. He found himself being the balancer of the world and told Luna if things should get out of hand because she was granting life to everyone, it would be like it was before, he would come back again to balance it again. Breaking Boss also realize what he did was wrong and felt the guilt over it. He thought that with Humans gone he could take over.
@TrueYears I understand all of that, but the story is still lame, the animation is sub par, and the art style is bothersome. It isn't an anime worth defending this bitterly. Also, we still do not have closure. Ringo is still waiting for Casshern, friender is still alive, and we have yet to see the new world once.
Caitlin Glass is the American versions voice. and it flows in English better but this is still amazing.

@MasterShot2k5 That's why we need Casshern - An Angel of Death to shock us back to reality.

@MasterShot2k5 Well, you should watch the 70s original version called Neo Human Casshern and the OVA to understand it then. Watch that
