Is there any direct communication between the vCetner servers?

For instance, if someone makes a copy of some VMDKs from the Test vCenter and then deploys that copy to Prod, you could end up with Duplicate MAC addresses in the same DC.

Would be nice if vCenters in linked mode could detect something like that and at the very least alarm on it, or possibly even better, prevent the new VM from coming online until the duplication is fixed.

guys.. please... i appreciate the video you guys put on here... but im a big supporter of vmware virtualization products and im very interested in the Vcenter so that I can manage all my ESX host on my network.... the least you could of done was shoe a nice video and some screen shots of the actual product in action and the big features of it.
