I probably would have done my cheat thing. I discovered that they usually shoot at the very front tip of the Mako. So I would hide the front and since the turret isn't on the very front I could still shoot at them.

For Geth Armatures etc anyway. I haven't played in like a year so I don't remember too much.

personally, id be goin crazy with the sniper there, but thats just what i would do.

Too bad engineers can't use the sniper rifle, unless the player has unlocked the Sniper Rifle Expert Achievement and trained this profile with it when he created it.

Something I often wonder is...what's the harm if you just race past the turrets and get inside?

On this difficulty (I'm guessing Veteran), it can mean life or death if you make a bad move.
