This is really good... But, for heavens sake, whenever they get to the main theme of the waltz, it's as if they think Rachmaninov only put melodies in where there were accents. But, apart from that detail, I appreciated and enjoyed this performance.

I'd play it with you, but I'm in Austria, don't know where you are from, but well...

I performed this piece already, not too hard, but a bit boring after practicing it a while. The other 3 parts of the suite are more interesting, I think.

I've played all of the movements, except the first (the one here). I stress the importance of learning both parts. There is no other way to appreciate Rachmaninoff's mixing of pianos, or the absolutely beautiful melodies. I like the tempo here...not too fast. This is after all, a march. sanjosemike

Alexeyev interpretations are very very good.

On Youtube I found this Suite for 2 pianos.

The valse of this work is one of the most beautiful works of him!I love this part,is too nice.Remembers me the concert nº2 third movement ,sypmhony nº2 second movement,those nice second theme,the style is similar,the cello sonata secodn movement,etc.

It seems that Rach was better after his depresion when he composed this.

The waltz is one of my favourites work of him.I regret that this couldn't be more famous.

This is masterful playing. The parts are clearly heard and the music breathes naturally. I remember hearing Nikolai Demidenko play in Toronto several years ago. His playing was phenomenal!
