Great band, highly professional!!! Very groovy rhythm section and a excellent drum solo! What would a Santana tribute band be without such an excellent guitar player?
Allen, you're holding out on us! LOL. All these nice quiet songs and you're hiding this gem down at the bottom of the stack! One of my all time favorite songs. Great, great cover by everyone involved. When was this?
I wish I could take credit for this. My son Carlton put this group together. He's the one sitting at the drum kit behind the bass player with the white shirt. The damn kid can play any style as long as he is getting paid. He was playing along with my Buddy Rich albums when he was 12. He starts his drum solo at 7:02 The Conga player is Sunny Ortiz from Widespread Panic.
He is a full time player as is my eldest son (guitar),
Yeah, he's good. He started "learning" from the best, then, if he was keeping up with Buddy Rich. I played for 8 years myself. Few things are more fun!
Don't take this the wrong way, but all drummers are a bit odd. Including my son. It takes a special kind of brain to split time and do it on tempo. Also hand and feet separation
Try this separation exercise my son showed me. I can't do it.
Tap your left knee in quarter notes, tap your right knee in 8ths tap your left foot in dotted quarters and your right foot in dotted 8ths. All at the same time.
I think he may have picked that up from listening to Joe Morello.
Hey, a backflash into Santana's Woodstock-Gig. Even the Gibson SG is there. Very good cover, great performance. And a phantastic drummer, indeed! Greetings from Switzerland, Jogi
A percussion tour de force. You're son is a great drummer and the other percussionists as well. Whole band is great for that matter. Thanks for sharing. 5***** of course.

The Guitar player is Wade Hester. He plays drums/keyboards/guitar all equally well. I hate him :-)

I agree. The guy that did the video recording was way off to the side. I wish he had been closer to the sound man.
