  • One thing that I noticed that you had missing was a bicycle inner tube. Now, I know how that sounds pointless but you could cut small segments of that to use in place as rubber bands, more commonly called ranger bands, or you could cut the segments longer and use them as or to replace the grip on a knife or anything else that has a semi-circular handle to it. Also it can be used to help in starting fires, getting it going and also, if you have enough of it, to signal with.

  • i would add a canteen to cook and boil water

  • Pure white gold, hahaha! Good video man, you should watch that documentary 'Collapse' you might enjoy it.

  • I would also add a guide to wild plants and weeds that you can eat. If you check out my channel I am in the middle of making vids on urban wild foods. I would also add a machete and a bow because it is hard to get guns where I live

  • @ 8:21

That's actually a .357 sig round. Please don't use that in a 9mm firearm. You will be... disappointed.

  • i wanted to say the alarms was an ingenious idea. good job

  • i watches your vids and i might have missed it but i would include baby wipes for washing, and a water purfier. great vids.

  • @darque29

Thanks for the video. Good ideas. I'd like to suggest if you're going to be carrying a survival type bag to make it as lite and small as possible. An example is to flatten out your duct tape, carry cotton balls and a striking steel for fire starting and so on.

    Thanks again

  • GOTTA TAKE A DUKE.. hahah.

  • I love the build and the solar charger... I was also thinking if it comes to that, one can rig a few of those landscape light you put on your front yard as a charger (granted you would need multiples but with a little ingenuity it is possible plus 3 out of 10 houses have them )

P.S. would love to see you cover some ideas and tactics to setting up and managing a home base...

  • Here is my .02 and this is not made to offend you. 1st off throw that WD40 away! It is a water displacer and by you caring it you look novice. WD40 should never be used on anything, EVER! DuPont Multi use can do everything WD40 was meant to do but cant. Plus it kills bees :) That $1 store battery tester fails after a few uses and those $1 store alerts fail quick! I completely understand where you are trying to take this and you are doing a good job but the inventory you are using is junk!

  • good job

  • HA! he said "dook"!

  • I got a Yugo AKM and a nice AR-15. It's not the best build but it is good for what it's worth. Should I carry a Primary, Secondary, and a side arm? Or Primary and Sidearm? I am looking for a 1911... Don't have a pistol yet. :/

Would homemade smoke grenades be helpful aswell?

  • @IamDuhmb I would like to add comments about the carrying and use of a gun, best thing to do is to make sure you can conceal a weapon cleverly, for one there is the "in plane view" law that they have going on that is their law telling them they can put a label on you such as " enemy combatant" if you do come across military. Do a search on Army Field Manuals and look what it tells you about the difference between that and a "Peaceful Inhabitant", it just might surprise you.

  • I posted a mass question on my year book .com I asked if you were in a survival situation and you needed to pack a bag what would you take? More than 75% have more than EPIC FAILED!!! just shows how stupid some people are

  • I would also suggest a gas mask a cutting saw wire would come in handy many uses

  • I would also suggest a gas mask

  • You should add a small bottle of hydrogen peroxide in case you get hurt and bandages you should get a state map instead of just houston in case you should have to move. also seeds very small package if your held up for a while you could grow some food i suggest something that doesnt take long to grow i also suggest a water filter use a piece of cheese cloth its light wieght and works good I would also suggest can opener i would also suggest a nail a copper wire and a ear piece for a radio

  • i'd suggest a good water FILTER... NOT purification... if you're in the city all sorts of chemicals and pollution would get into water sources that tablets could not take out.. a filter would be invaluable

    Great vids by the way

  • @darque29 hi there, in the second vids you say you gonna made vids about the solar charger. By the way, do you have a ham radio? ive just have it last week and its work great!

  • you are the man! the only dude i seen on any of these types of vid that take poo paper with them. i even got some in my car. i love all your vids, keep em up.

  • Where is the first aid kit???

  • @mikeygod Its there. Its in the first vid. Thanks for the feedback.

  • @darque29 watch out for wd40 on ammo it will riun it

  • @darque29 watch out for wd40 on ammo it will ruin it

  • @darque29 Me and some friends are trying to create a community where we talk about apocalypse related things like preparedness, roleplay kits, scenarios everything apocalypse. See our channel for the link to our new site. :)

  • @mikeygod

  • Great videos and great ideas. Well done.

  • an ak-47?

  • i lol'd at the toilet paper lol

  • @psychoguy1017 It is funny, but think about it, in a Shf or Wrol situation, it would become the new Gold, At least to most people. I for one am not looking forward to wiping with leaves, straw or smooth stones. LOL

  • Lots of great ideas!. The solar battery charger and the battery tester are absolutely STELLAR! Prior to your video, my best idea was carrying a bunch of spare batteries. When those run out, I'm outta luck. But the icing on the cake are the intruder alerts. For perimeter security, this really beats scavenging and stringing a bunch of soda cans with a pebble in em! I'm gonna get sum small "eye screws" & sum trip wyre & try em out 4 camp security

  • @Jumpr100 Thanks for the feedback. But the cans are still the way to go if the batteries fail in the intruder alerts.

  • get night vision

  • @313rossini Working on it. Thanks for the feedback.

  • alarm was a good idea

  • @FranksGeckoVideos Thanks for the feedback and channel support.

  • i think in this situation when there is a apocalypse.. gun would be scatter around you gotta retrieve it fast before some bastard take it and shot some ass

  • @CeLaKaZ1 gun's are easy. You have Sport stores, Pawn shops, Sheds, hell even Local stores have them. Not to mention you can use paint ball guns, any thing that inflicts pain is a likely weapon the have.

  • the cheapest place i found the intrud alert was 3 bucks shipped on ebay. where can i get them for a buck a piece?

  • @biohax I found them at my local dollar store. There are alot on dollar store in my area. Im not sure where your are located but try any of the dollar stores in your area. You may be able to locate them there. Thanks for the channel suuport.

  • Great video dude :) you had tons of stuff i wouldn't have thought of. But have you thought about water purification tablets or some sort of water filter for the bag?

  • @kpftw16 Yea. At the time i made this vid, i just grabbed stuff around the house that i could find quickly. Some type of water purification should be a major part of any survival type bag. I have since added some purification tablets to it. Thanks for the channel support.

  • Do you have a third(or fourth) video in your series?

  • @DarcMac Working on them now. I had made a few with an older camera. The quality wasnt so good. There will be more vids on this subject soon. Going out to get more footage this weekend. Thanks for the intrest.

  • Not yet, but I may actually be moving to Houston soon, coincidentally. We used to make caches of equipment when I was serving overseas. Btw, You are dead right about Rudy Ray swinging on the rope; that is stupid, anti-survival activity... as is a bunch of the things he does. It just goes to show that, like Bear Grylls, being Spec Forces doesn't make you a survival expert, just an adrenaline junkie.

  • If you stay in one general area, around Houston for example, you can set up cache points in various locations with gear buried or hidden inside PVC tubes or similar containers. Use whatever code or landmarks work for you to keep track of those cache sites.

  • @DarcMac Thanks for the feedback. I have set up a few cache's in several areas. Are you also in the same city?

  • For TP, I revert to my days in the Army. I use baby wipes. Not only do you get your ass really clean, but you can use them to keep your body clean if you have to go without a shower, as you will in a PAS. Focus on the groin, armpits and armpits and keep on rollin. They also fit nicely in a qt-size ziploc bag which you can put in a cargo pocket.

  • those 7.62 rounds are heavy, but they and the 9mms are common, so you can find them in someone's house or trade for them if there is nowhere to buy them in an apocalyptic situation.

  • @CrickTroutMaster True. I also have a 5.56. In an urban setting, I think that 7.62 would be more avaliable due to the afordability of the rifle. Its heavy but there are some workouts that can be done with any load out and rifle system to increase ones endurance in a apacalyptic situation. Vids coming soon.

  • The little security beepers are a great Idea I got one for my house but I didn't think to put one in my BOB now i'm going to have to include a few.

    Great idea!!!

  • @ViolentKisses87 They have a variety of uses. When your home alarm battery dies during a power outage, they work wonders. Thanks for the feedback.

  • Oh darque! The moment you busted out the 762 round all the guns nuts knew exactly what you were talking about. lol

  • @paboisslle LOL. Thanks for the feedback.

  • my former PAS haven was san antonio but now it's houston haha

  • @kewlkat86 Cool.Another Houstonian. Thanks for the feedback.

  • I'm in the Marines.

  • @shanksterpro Cool. I have alot of civilian urban and medical first response training. Some tactical training but nothing like the armed forces. Thanks for the feedback.

  • what I would have in a P.A.S. I would have the same shit I take to war minus my Flak and Kevlar and my rifle because once the world goes to shit most everyone is gunna be lookin out for number one so be self sustainable but still mobile now if by chance you end up groupin up with more people then you can start bustin out the AK-47's and shit cause you are going to move slower and you want more protection also your not as worried about makin friends who might be afraid of you with a rifle

  • @shanksterpro Excellent point. Im assuming you were in the military. Thats great insite. We would like to have more feedback from people like yourself. We appriciate your imput.Keep the great ideas coming. Thanks

  • @darque29 well you said you live in texas well i live in saskachewan and brouther the winters hear would kill you were tlakin 30 to 50 below zerro when its past 50 cars dont star watter will freeze on contact i guess in are case a bag would be hand and a sled of some sort with a lid

  • you already told us it was an ak in the first video the secrets out. Its probablly not even an ak but rather some civilian knock off piece of shit and once again fuck carrying a heavy ass rifle suck as an ak around yes they are only like 12lbs loaded but i wouldnt carry that shit with extra ammo around all over the place dont know if you ever dont something like that before but its not to fun and it slows ya down just a bit

  • @shanksterpro Again, thanks for the feedback. These vids were made to kick around possible ideas for an Post Apocalyptic situation. You bring up some interesting points. There are always options when it comes to choosing the gear that one would carry or the things that one would do in a P.A.S. Your feedback is welcomed. This is Youtube. Your feeback is shared will all who view this vid.We all thank you for your feedback.

  • sweet video you gave me great pointers!

  • @AnthonyUseryJr Cool. thanks for the feedback.

  • Thanks for the video! You've definitely given me some additional ideas for constructing my bag. One thing you didn't mention was an axe. I have one that is a single-piece carbon steel with several uses. Its 24" with a cord-wrapped handle so it can be used in an environment less densely populated, has a pick. Use as a hammer, axe, etc. I also like the thinking with the WD40. Would you also consider a sharpening tool for any blades you own as well?

  • Thanks for the feedback. I have yet to purchase an axe and also a machette. They can be an esential part of a survival bag. I also need to pick up a sharpening stone. I dont know what kind i will get but i will get one. Thanks

  • A fine grit diamond sharpening stone or sharpening steel will give a blade a sharp edge. That's a great starting point. If you want to take the blade to ridiculously sharp once you've honed it with the fine grit, use the extra-fine. It will take your blade to the next level. I prefer the steel as you do not need water, so less mess. (especially important considering the hypothetical sit. in this case). Thanks again for the video and take care!

  • I picked up a stone today. Its a diamond combination sharpener. 325 Coarse grit and a fine 750 grit. Thanks for the feedback.

  • gotta make myself one of these bags...

  • Thanks for watching. If you make you a bag, make it to your liking. There are lots of good vids tossing around ideas, but pack your bag with what works for you and your enviorment. This was just some ideas to get the peolple to think about after the bug out. Set up a bag and attach it to this vid. Lets see what you put in yours. Thanks

  • i probably wont be able to make one for a while, but when i do, i will attach it. good vids btw

  • hey great vid realy enjoy watching a quick tip i saw on some survival kit and it said to use this type o fcloith i forgot what it was calle dbut its not as big a toilet paper and they said i saves alot of room

  • lol i live in dallas (arlington) and its crowed like hell up here but one place i would want to stay for a wile is the new stadium just bc of how good of a view i could get when resting but great video though cant wait for the next

  • each video gets better. i am so getting a couple of those intruder alarms. so many great ideas you have man.

  • Thanks for the feedback.

  • Great videos. Have you made a "dry run" to see if you could actually get out of town if a crisis occured? Is there a "plan B" for your exfil? Keep up the great videos.

  • I made a dry run when hurricane rita was supose to hit Houston in 2005. That was the first time i ever left the city fleeing from a possible natural disaster. It worked out for me cause i avoided the traffic pitfalls.I have made several adjustments since then.A back up plan is always a major part of the first plan. Adaptation should be included in both plans. Ive learned to adapt to all possible situations. Thats the key to survival. Thanks for the feedback.

  • Good vid, man. In an urban situation one thing I would suggest to add along with your duct tape, is bailing wire. Man we used to fix so much stuff with duct tape and bailing wire on them rigs. Shoot, McGyver with his swiss army knife can't fix as much as you can with duct tape and bailing wire. Seriously. Good stuff.

  • great idea. i wil pick up some.

  • Hey man great video's. They gave me a couple of more ideas of items to carry in packs im putting together for my wife and I to carry around in our cars. -Fresno CA.

  • nice videos you have, i live out here in katy

  • I live in the downtown area. Ever visit American shooting range? Out near George Bush Park?

  • @darque29

i mainly shoot out here in katy at the outdoor range.

man if anything happens we are screwed living here in houston. i plan on heading west if anything goes down. but going to stay well awAy from the I-10.

  • Maybe we can meet up one day and exchange game plans.

  • Can't go wrong with duct tape....I love my AR15 but when you want to clear a room the AK47 is the way to go....

  • Its the gift of the gods. So many uses

  • darque29, PLEASE tell me the dollar store you have been visiting..(Dollar General which one?) Thanks!

  • dollar tree of 45 south and telphone.

  • great vid 7.62x39 rules

  • great vid and great info thanks for sharing
