@tinofromberlin The original is from Gustavo Santaolalla. This is Röyksopp's rework of the original track. Whether or not it's a good or bad remix is up to the listener.
Ushuaia in the title is actually Argentina, not Norway. The song is by Gustavo Santaolalla and is in the soundtrack of an argentinean movie, 'La Quiaca' is another place in Argentina as well. Royksopp simply edited this, as a remix. :)
a lot of people comment stupid things that make no sense, then when their comment is proven ignorant, they leave and never come back. Tresloukadu is one of those people.
The whole point of the original is in the simplicity: the light touch: you are at high altitude, where every sound carries
The bass is too heavy handed on Royksopp's mix & overworked. Love his stuff usually though. The Electric Counterpoint (Milde Salve) is about as good as it gets
Hey mushroomsmokev2, I'm not sure if you got my other Comment, It didn't pop up in the comments screen? Anyhow, I'm wondering what type of Camera your using for the time-lapse shots? Also, does your tripod have a motor? Thanks for sharing your amazing videos.
Relax, mate. It's Norway. The visuals don't necessarily have to geographically coincide with the title of the song. They both have cold climates and both places have Auroras. This footage just happens to be of the Aurora Borealis rather than the Aurora Australis.
@mushroomsmokev2 I´m from Argentina and I never saw pictures or videos about the Aurora australis in Tierra del Fuego, I think is not visible there, maybe sometimes... Tierra del Fuego is not so close to the pole as Scandinavia... and about the climate, yes... that´s a very cold island... a norwegian guy told me that Ushuaia amd Tromso are very similar places, excepting the penguins and other animals...
@tresloukadu - Ushuaia is the capital of Tierra del Fuego - The cool guys from Norway just like the "cool guy" from Argentina - Gustavo Santaolalla. Best wishes.
Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. Gustavo Santaolalla es argentino. Wikipedia ayuda e internet también. Investigar mas allá de nuestras narices (aunque sea un poco) es bueno
@faku87 i know in parts, i have been already in ushuaia, tierra del fuego, patagonia, chile, torres del paine etc.. i just didnt know about la quica .. maybe next travel... but many thanks for ur info....
@tresloukadu And btw,the song is an edited version of the 21st track of the soundtrack of Motorcycle Diaries by Gustavo Santaolalla called this way (De Usuahia a la Quiaca)! :)
@tresloukadu don't bother... nobody doubted this place to be Norway. Nevertheless, let me tell you, that the south tip of South america(Argentina and especially Chile) is VEEERY similar to the Norway landscapes you see here, you would feel at home.
Gustavo Santaolalla and Röyksöpp are two of my favourite bands, and De Ushuaia A La Quiaca is one of my favourite songs, but I never knew they made this song together........ Which makes this my most favourite and most unexpected favourite song of all time!!!
heys... I'm a sort of... fusion of Kissanruoka4400 and Singinmantoday... unfortunately those accounts have been closed but a new account will be made shortly. Anyway This sort of reminds us of Bel Canto's "Ladonia" from Dorothy's Victory.
Oh god this is so *beautiful* it almost makes me cry in sheer awe of nature. Looks like this was shot in norway or at least somewhere far north? And is this on any album btw?
Man, I am glad not to be a drug user. This would totally hook me up. The tune is lulling in a positive way but the combination with this amazing footage really makes this dangerous.
This can not be royksopp, I think the original is from Gustavo Santaolalla from Motorcycle diaries OST. royskopp wouldn't never do that bad mixes..
