@357FACEOFF Could be the coil lead, I forget which color wire it is on these cars. Or the actual gauge needle motor/driver. If the car's been reprogrammed it could be wrong bin. might need a new instrument cluster... Good Luck.
i have a 91 z29 350 tuned port. what differance does the COLD air add on? is it noticeable? i heard 15 horsepower??? please help i would love to know AND where to get this one???
Z29 eh?? I noticed a little difference in throttle response and acceleration, but the stock air lid already flows pretty well. As for where i got it, it came with the hood from a company in Connecticut and I think they went out of business...
CAI = Colder Denser Charge, more power. The mods are sympathetic to each other though. CAI, Headers, Exhaust, tune. It all adds up to a significant gain. My LT1's official rating is 260hp. But with the CAI, Headers, Exhaust, and Tune its putting out about 320-330hp. Thats quite a large gain for an iron headed LT1 out of a B-body.
Optima Battery. (Red Top 35/75DT?) Go to your local Kragen or Schucks or Checkers or OReilly... Good Battery, no issues. They have really good reserve capacity.
sounds effin beautiful. btw what type of battery is that? i need to replace mine and ive seen seen non acid batteries that look like theres 6 cylinders inside. let me kno if wen u can
Haha you like that. Where the hell else are you gonna mount that mofo?? Ive seen people mount it where the blower motor (i guess thats what it is) is on the firewall, but being in California i wanna keep my AC 8D
LOL....I completely understand now. I live in FL so i know the heat sucks...i have no ac in my truck. Ive seen people mount em to firewalls, on top if the inner fender under the hood, even in the glove box .
huh?? no the motor is not stock. Yes the L98 RPO code is B2L. reading back, my previous reply does make it sound like it came like that but it didnt. The owner before me put the brand new GM Goodwrench motor in.. sorry for the confusion.
Yea they didn't release the aluminum headed L98 in the camaros ever. L98 is the engine code, but B2L is the RPO code. Yea if it was me who did the swap i would have gone with some better heads, or port the hell out of these ones. I do have some 87 vette heads i was gonna throw on but no go. to much work to make em work.
man i wish my spark plugs were as easy as thise to get to...thats the ONLY thing i dont like about my 1998 z28. the LS1 is a pain to work on.

The GMMG set is a 1 into 2 out, so not true dual. which plenty for how these cars breathe. Check out GMMGinc.net

go with the GMMG set. one of the best sounding on these cars. i set off alarms and get plenty of comments on how good it sounds.

nice work and car but most people that know cars also know that only the 5liter (305) was offered with a 5 speed not the 350 or 5.7
jakeluvsmel 2 years ago
Indeed. Who said it was the stock motor? its a ZZ4 block with LO5 heads from what the numbers say...
thanks for watchin
boldguy 2 years ago
What sort of air intake is that? Have you got a vent on the hood? Sweet car by the way, I have the same but mine is all stock.
IROCZ305 2 years ago
its a WS6 style ram air hood all fiberglass same as the intake. The company who made it changed owners.

What was the L98 package consist of?
I did'nt think they ever put 5 speeds behind 350 TPI's.....
91CTD 2 years ago
That's because they didn't. It's a 350 block with -193 crapswirl heads.
L98's were strictly 350-auto. which in my opinion is nowhere near as fun as a 5 speed.
boldguy 2 years ago
but wait i though all 350 tpi's were L98's... whats the RPO for a 350 TPI then ?
did you do this swap? im confused. lol

gotcha, l98 is the RPO ofr a 350 tpi, i thought b2l was a 350 tpi and l98 was the aluminum headed vette 350 tpi.
now i know l98 is 350 tpi, period.
cool swap BTW. prev. owner was smart
