  • Hey Timmy, you got those fucking gloves cemented on now, yeah...crazy eyes Brown.

  • steez

  • I love it! The way hockey should be! Does anyone have the CLASSIC footage of the 77 playoffs between Toronto and Philly when they had a mic at the bench and you could hear ol' Clarkie yellin' up a real blue streak?

  • Brown has the IQ of a dumb turnip

Seriously, whats with the little head shake while mumbling, it's like he is literally trying to rattle his brain to get some thoughts into words.

  • love the look on browns face

  • 0.38 I had no idea Doug McKenzie played hockey.

    YOO-KOOKOOKOOKOOKOOKOOKOOOO!!!!

  • @physcho29 no they'd be twitting

  • Man I miss those days. Hockey was so much better.

  • if they got rid of the instigator rule a lot of the problems the league has right now would go away.

  • holy shit i miss this hahahaha

  • Lol Tim hunter was infamous for trash talking, he did it all throughout the 94 cup finals agains the rangers. Watch that championship video from that year it's on there and hilarious.

  • I miss this hockey ahaha

  • Hahaha "you got those gloves cemented on?" that's gold.

  • I love how dave brown was like "you fucking... uh," before going to the trash talk about the gloves

  • @lostenmusic Took Brownie a while to gather his thoughts. He never was the sharpest knife in the Ginsu collection. Listening to him being interviewed nowadays is like listening to Dustin Hoffman in "Rain Man".

  • the announcers are so funny about it they are just like commentating the cussin

  • looks like fuckin jeff daniels in dumb and dumber

  • Was there any reply from Hunter after he got owned?

  • LMAO that's classic

  • tim hunter is fucking uuuglyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • Thats why players are getting hurt by big hits and cheap shots now. Because the policemen are gone. Bettman screwed around with the chemistry of the game with all these rule changes. NOw there's nobody around to make a player pay. So they have free reign to hammer the sweetie pies. People who don't know hockey should not be allowed to screw with it. But thats what happened, and the game has been totally screwed up.

  • @berezin99 ) sooo tru brother so tru

  • did he say hoser? haha

  • Probably went fishiing together after the season was over

  • Nobody really wanted to fight Brown though. Mean b---ard. Probert, Kocur, Semenko and maybe Marty McSnarly are the only ones who'd make him work

  • I like Tim Hunter. Brown was nothing more than a goon. Couldn't play for crap

  • Gotta love the Cooper helmet

  • Yeah the NHL has gone so soft now. The battle of Alberta is now a pillow fight.

I blame Bettman for these idiotic new rules. And also there's Canadian hockey writers like Damien Cox and Dave Shoalts who whine and cry whenever a player gets hurt.

Its HOCKEY people. Not the ballet!

  • @berezin99

MAN I miss Tiger Williams, Dave Schultz, Demenko, McSorley et al. Please bring back the early 80's.

    Sadly, this will not happen

  • @berezin99

    SEMenko (and O'Reilly)

  • @sparwood8

Yeah. Hockey is so boring these days.

I get sick to my stomach when I see pussies like Malkin falling as soon as somebody touches him.

Ask any Leafs fan of a certain age what series they remember, and Leafs -flyers from 1975 always tops the cake.

Hockey without emotion is damn boring.

The peaceniks who don't even like hockey are destroying the game.

    too bad

  • @berezin99

I rem, ember a great series between Philly and Leafs in about '75. Phillies second time to win a cup

  • @berezin99 i agree with you, the new rookies coming into the NHL these days are all fucking pussies that will do anything to get a penalty. And when they get their stick lifted the ref calls a penalty because the baby boys can't defend for themselves

  • @Arsen1c42

    Thats the question.

Why is the ref calling a penalty for lifting a stick? What really bugs me is seeing these guys who fall down then look around for the ref, rather than battle for the puck. Its embarassing, and its ruining hockey.

  • @berezin99 well, im using stick lifting as an example, a stick is lifted, ref calls a slash or something, but i agree with you completely

  • @Arsen1c42

    I see you're from Buffalo.

Remember those great Leaf Sabres battles when Domi and the boys would go to the Aud and battle with Ray, Barnaby and the gang? The fans loved it. And nobody ever got hurt. Because the players knew what to expect and were protected themselves. Nowadays Buffalo Toronto is a snooze fest. Like watching the ice capades.

  • @berezin99 yeah i'm from Buffalo lol, best hockey city, unfortunately the sport is losing its luster. Not to mention Leaf's games are now just blow outs seeing as now they suck. but i think that its shitty that fighting is not allowed, it probably actually protects players more than you would think.. if two guys can't fight then their own and their teams frustration will increase until there is a terrible act done by one of the players that could be borderline criminal, i.e. todd bertuzzi

  • @berezin99 todd bertuzzi, and others and their cheapshots is just bullshit.. it would be safer to allow the two guys that are actually on the team to fight, than get two guys who can't fight and just do cheap hits and shots. people like peters, and ray were the ones who are basically paid to be the enforcers.. and the nhl just killed it

  • @berezin99

How do guys like Bettman end up on top? He is a pompous little twerp with zero feel for the game of Hockey

  • @sparwood8

He was brought in to make hockey huge in the USA. And has failed miserably.

Meanwhile he's turned off long time fans with these "new" no touch rules.

Not sure where you're from, but if you think the NHL is soft, try watching Canadian juniour hockey these days.

They're now calling bodychecking a penalty belive it or not.

Soon they're gonna allow girls to play.

  • @berezin99

I live in Vancouver, and believe me, I have seen it. Bettman is trying to sell hand warmers to Arabs. Hamiilton, Winnipeg and even Quebec City would sell out every game, but where is he looking ? LAS VEGAS! That hotbed of hockey. Look for the worst ice in the NHL after Dallas and Anaheim

People live there to get AWAY from hockey. And what makes Bettman think Americans don't love a good tough hockey game with a good scrap half way through the game?

Been to a game in Phil' once.

  • @sparwood8

And the fans loved it when 2 guys got into a scrap

  • @sparwood8 I would love to see Quebec and Winnepeg have teams again, but it didnt work the first time around. There is just not enough money in advertising and revenues in those city's

  • @ijp66

Sad. but true. They'd fill the building though. 'Peg is about 800,000 but nothing much outside the city limits. PQ about 350,000. Vancouver area is over 2.5 million, B.C. 4.6m and we are probably the storngest market after Toronto-Montreal... not because of size (S.F Bay Area has like 5.5m people) but everyone up here watches it

  • @ijp66 true...a lot of people think "bettman screwed them over" truth is that there just wasnt enough money 2 keep them there

  • @berezin99 coudn't agree with you more, hockey has now become a bitch sport

  • @berezin99 hell yea!

  • @chia66 Don't ya just love the one handed hooking calls?

Or hows about all the diving and acting.

I tried to watch a Calgary Edmonton game this year.

After 5 penalties in the first 10 minutes for miniscule infractions I turned

    it off in disgust.

Rivalries need hatred. No rivalry was ever built on how many pirouettes

your team can do on the ice!.

  • @berezin99 THANK YOU ! DAMIEN COX IS A FUCKING DISGRACE TO HOCKEY, HIM AND HIS PANEL OF SNOT NOSED KNOW IT ALLS ON TSN'S " The Reporters " , As an oiler fan i cant stand him too because hes an oiler basher whos in bed with all things leafs

It is guys like him who cause all sorts of bad controversies in the NHL over such minor issues

  • @PocketHercules99 I emailed Cox a few years back criticizing his stance on hockey and he called me a "neanthdrathal". Can you imagine? Like we're about the same age. I don't know what kind of hockey he grew up watching. But unfortunately the game is being changed for people who don't even like the game!

  • @berezin99 Its amazes me people even talk about taking fighting out of hockey, The players want it and the fans want it , even the majority of Gms and Coaches want it So why the fuck take it out, The only dweebs that don't want it is the whiny media types like Cox and the rest of his panel , who dont have an athletic thread in their DNA but clearly they invented Hockey,

I was thinking of sending an email to old Coxy, im surprised you got a response

  • @berezin99 Yeh but Canada IS hockey

  • @berezin99 Totally agree! It's hard to get emotionally involved in the NHL compared to these days. I'm not even from Alberta but when I watched these games as a kid, I would get so involved. Maybe it's because I am older now, but I still think the rivalries were way more intense. The players now tend to be buddies with each other in a way they never used to be. That's just my take on it. Maybe I'm wrong!

  • That's cuz the Battle of Alberta SUCKS! As soon as a player on either one of those " organizations " ASKS FOR ANY MONEY, they release said player and bring in junk. Both of them canNOT afford to KEEP any quality. When Hall gets old enough and asks for an astronomical amount of cash, he'll be on the Rangers, just like Wayne. And WHY THE FUCK IGINLA STAYS IN CAL-GAY is BEYOND WORDS. One of THE best goal scorers in the NHL and he hasn't gone to Pittsburgh YET to win a Cup? WOW. Must have family?

  • "why dont ya get that jersey a little tighter round your fucking arm ya pussy" haaa

  • I love Brown's response "Tight around yer big fuckin.....Pussy! hahahah" He sounds so stoned

  • only in hockey! i love this sport!

  • hahahahah thats hilarious. i love how those guys just enjoy swearing at eachother like its no big deal. "just doing their job"

  • holy fuck, that Hunters got a head on him like a half chewed caramel.

  • that is the best reference ever - you could even substitute caramel for camel - he does have a resemblence to the Camel smokes model

  • @weeks630 Hey, he goes to church too. Guess he is just human.. Heat of the game, etc

  • ha ha ha

  • got hose gloves cemented on funny

  • beauty

  • Man I love the old days of the battle of Alberta so much...

  • Old Time Hockey :D

  • haha thats awesome

  • awesome clip...ahhh the good old days...thanks uploader.

  • haha that oilers guys a retard

  • I love how the commentators are tryin to sensor it by chuckling over their chirps!! ahhhh the good old days

too bad they cant have this kind of acess into the players chirps these days, football would be good too

  • lol the best part about playing hockey...chirping and saying funny things..

  • Now characters like Avery get villified for opening his mouth.

  • In today's NHL they'd be texting each other between periods.

  • haha

  • @psycho29 no they'd be "tweeting"!!!

  • CLASSIC

  • We don't see this anymore in Bettman's NHL.

  • That's because Bettman's NHL is a mere shadow of what the NHL once was. Now it's pussified to appease Americans.

  • To appease Americans? WTF?!?! You're right, fans of the Flyers, Rangers, Bruins, etc., don't like the rough stuff... Bettman if a tool, everyone knows that, and everyone also knows that his ego is ruining the NHL, not his desire to please Americans.

  • Hey I live in Detroit and love the Wings and all they have won but miss the days of Probert and Kocur :(

Don't blame Americans for what the NHL has done we dont like it any more they you do.

  • yeah.....america hates violent sports...lol

  • I never said they hated violent sports, I'm talking about Gary Bettman, who obviously THINKS they do.

  • dude,,dont back track. you said pussified to appease americans. listen i agree with you but just not the american part. america and canada have the SAME view on hockey. i hate bettman's nhl. and i am a firm supporter that there should be a canadian as nhl commis. bring back hockey of the 70's and 80's and early 90's. i wanna see canadian/ north american hockey,,,no europe.

  • @hamischlammengamen It isn't designed to appeal to Americans, it is for yuppies who don't like violence, that's who Bettman wants at the games.

  • Well not quite...As an American I love "old-school" hockey that we had seen throughout the 80's, and into the early 90's.

As a die-hard fan of the Red Wings I certainly do miss having some guys on the bench who can defend themselves (as well as defending a teammate) instead of hoping the refs/linesmen stepping in to save them.

  • Hahahahaha...classic hockey talk.

    Added to favorites.

  • +1
