Yes the Missouri was involved in heavy bombardment in Korea, It was the only one of the four Iowas not mothballed after WWII, although the other three were brought back to fight in that conflict as well. It was also the first one mothballed at the end of the conflict. It also would have problem taking out a CBG either, as while the CBG could shoot down the Harpoons or Tomahawks, there would be no stopping the 2700lb. AP shell that was coming in at mach 2.5

To answer a few comments posted. Yes the Missouri was involved in heavy bombardment in Korea, It was the only one of the four Iowas not mothballed after WWII, although the other three were brought back to fight in that conflict as well. It was also the first one mothballed at the end of the conflict. It also would have problem taking out a CBG either, as while the CBG could shoot down the Harpoons or Tomahawks, there would be no stopping the 2700lb. AP shell that was coming in at mach 2.5

BB's are HUGE, they had room for anything! Most of the people in the video are probably sailors in work out gear, khaki or wearing the old utility uniform. I know they had a lot of media personnel. It was a big deal since the Missouri hasn't seen action since WWII (I am pretty sure)

Missouri did conduct shore bombardment at Inchon, Korea. I was told that the shells we fired in 1991 Gulf War were manufactured in the 1950's for the Korean War. Must have a long shelf life.

There were some civilians aboard during the Gulf War but not many. My first college prof. Reagan Ragsdale was a civilian aboard during the war & taught English & Literature. I earned my first college credits aboard the Mo'.

Eurofighter, and I think he means the Harrier. It's a British design but the one the US Marines use is made entirely in the US apart from the engine which is shipped over from Blighty. They're a bit bigger than British Harriers because they're used in a slightly different roll in the Marines than the RAF/Royal Navy.

No the Tornado is an MRCA. Very good bomber, crap at everything else. We do have some other good kit though, and saved the Mighty Mo's arse in 1991 Just look up HMS Gloucester (D96) on wiki. Also Challanger 2 MBT is FAR batter than M1A1. Scored a kill at a range of 5.2km in Desert Storm.
