  • Bertram has always been among my favorite Ramey roles. I wish this opera were performed more often, but at least we have Ramey's performance of the full opera along with June Anderson and Alain Vanzo. Thank you for posting.

  • @arpeggio1358 : I'm new to Meyerbeer, and I find myself enjoying his music, too. In case anyone is interested, there is a gorgeous piece of Chopin's for cello and piano on themes from this opera that has been posted on Youtube. "Chopin-Grand duo para piano y cello". Bravo Meyerbeer!
