Hi there - I know how to pay the USA national debt, how to lead humanoid robotics, how to make a better Google, how to build the next generations of laptops or how to make rivers of soft water - If you know some guys interested about those issues let me know - Thanks –
@jmark00meipia1 and there is no rain can you imagine how much they will spend on those trees first they go to the sea get water and desalination them which is a lo of energy but they got lots money to spend but they don't spend wisely
You're living in a fantasy land. Look around. Our healthcare system is a joke. Most kuwaitis travel abroad for major surgeries. The democracy is in shambles because it only impedes progress and doesn't move things forward. Our public schooling system is a disaster, and it needs a huge restructuring to get it back to the way it was in the 60s. Building useless landmarks only reinforces the image that we have oil and nothing else.
Disgraceful. Terrible design. Seems to me that its being expensive just for the sake of it. Every element seems to be independent of everything else, like Las Vegas. Is that what we want?
Listen this is a sign that kuwait is a modern country looking modern building and cities, and you say expensive are you paying from you wallet, kuwait can afford it.
Yes, it is as a matter of fact. Public funding. But I don't mind something being expensive if its a right investment. This to me seems like a waste. Madinat al hareer is a great investment, if they can take out that insanely inefficient 1km tower. That project is extremely expensive, funded publicly, yet i'm all for it. Having money is easy. Spending it wisely is the hard part.
But building Mubarak Tower is going to put kuwait on the map of the tallest building in the world, we need that, Dubai is not better and for a matter of fact they do not have what we have, atleast we are not making most of our money from Alcohol. We should support the movement and we should do our best for kuwait
That's my point. We're going for meaningless records instead of trying to make sound investments. Dubai has the worlds tallest tower now, but in a few years someone else will build a taller one, and we'll all forget about it.
The only reason anyone would build a tower taller than 60 stories is for personal egotistical fulfillment. Its mathematically proven that once you go higher than 60, the size of the core and elevators you need will leave so little space for actual office space that it won't be economically feasible. You'll lose money even if the whole thing is rented out. The only reason people actually build higher than that in reality is because there's a shortage of land, so they have to go up.
That's why you see skyscrapers in New York. What we have in Kuwait is artificial density. We have so much land out there, but we're not allowed to build on it. That's why the prices are so high. Its artificial, and when they allow us to build in Silk City, the prices will plummet. We need to start thinking smart, and not worry about what other people are doing.
Also, Dubai isn't making most of their money from alcohol. Not even close. They make money by allowing people to invest in their country, so the value of their once worthless land because infinitely more valuable. Its good business.
If you want to be on the map for something, i'd rather be on it as the worlds most highly educated society, or the most democratic society in the region, or having the best healthcare in the world... Not as having the mindless audacity to spend a truckload of cash to build a worthless mile high tower so people can look at me and say, 'wow, that guy's rich!'.
But we have a great health system, we have a great democracy, tell me what country in the gulf Impeached it's leader like we did. Education 98% of kuwaitis are educated more even than the STATES why do i know that becouse i'm living here right now. We need to build a strong cultural city, and we need the new rep, not for having only oil
