The gifts of the Holy Spirit were not meant to be received and then remain stagnant. They were meant to be continually refreshed and revitalized.Baptism in the Holy Spirit is recommended for every Catholic that's called to participate in this New Evangelization.
Let's be honest people are not alone in saying they want something "alive" and "fulfilling". These people are looking for the Holy Spirit like the days of the early Church.I'm not talking about receiving the Holy Spirit just in the Sacraments, but to fan into flames those gifts previously received at baptism and sealed at confirmation. Unfortunately, for too many Catholics, the gifts and graces received in the sacraments remain dormant and inaccessible.
Here are some Quotes from our two Popes: "Let us rediscover dear brothers and sisters, the beauty of being baptized in the Holy Spirit;let us be aware again of our baptism and our confirmation, sources of grace that are always present"-Pope Benedict XVI. "Come Holy Spirit, and make ever more fruitful the charisms You have bestowed on us"-Pope John Paul II.
i think the Church only allows these type of masses to keep some folks in. I am sure that if you asked Pope B16 his personal veiw he would do away with this,
@catholicarchangel Charismatic communities are grassroots worship mirroring Protestant participatory worship, witness, music, recruitment, tithing & Bible based. Hierarchy frown on it & not all priest celebrate mass in charismatic community. Protestants have been in PI from the time of Pres. McKinley, but they never gain ground even at the height of Catholic Church hierarchies hypocritical support of Ferdinand & Imelda Marcos because of these politically involved charismatic ministries.

@henrikhankhagnell No, Charismatic Catholics. An imported kind of worship that resonates with socialistic Filipinos. In Protestant worship, it is more Pentecostal or singing Baptist. These worship, allowed after Vatican ll, I think, is why Filipinos remain Catholics. Compared to previous predominantly Catholic Latin America who are now mostly Protestant.
@atemely Latin America comprises the bulk of Catholicism. The numbers have dropped a little to the evangelical movement but our presence is still overwhelming.
This is so satanic.

una pequeña discrepancia que tengo con la renovacion carismatica es el hecho de que coloquen carteles en las paredes de la iglesia
