He now calls himself TiO - not to mix him up with the ripper Tim Owens of Judas Priest. TiO now is frontman of Al McKay Allstars (former guitarist of EW&Fire)
Nice! I never heard this song or of this artist. It's sad that true and real talent like this got lost and eventually pushed aside for what we have now. There's no comparison. Music has changed so much from those good old days.
Tim is an awesome singer. My friend, Melanie, and I sang background vocals for Tim in Houston in '91. That was a long time ago, but this song brings back great memories...beautiful song! I'm smiling...
I like this and thanks for Posting it... I remember Tim back i Oklahoma, he sang at my church inour workshop mass Choir put together by professor Burt cross...It was Many years ago, but I still have a young Tim Owens singing the lead on a gospel song called praying spirit, which I later wound up leading with our church choir... I'm glad somone posted this I was proud to see another fried of mine make it!
I don't know, man. You might check nu-jazz, broken beats, and house music. Ask any house DJ: most started in hip hop when it was hot in the late 80's/90's, but the soul was passed off to other genres once it become too commercial and dumb. That's when a lot of hip hop DJs jumped ship into house and other genres. Look into Bugz in the Attic, Mark Force, Tortured Soul. Profeshian here on youtube has a good radio station. Just look up Nu-jazz. Seriously.
his new EP is even better - very current
