  • hi do you unscrew the bulb or pull it out?

    thanks

  • @Ohitislov I pulled it out.

  • a demonstration would be nice...

  • What kind of wedge bulb do I need for a toyota camry 2004?

  • is it ok that the light is on when your unscrewing it

  • @SuperComedian16 Yeah its fine. It's just like changing a light bulb in your house. You can change it regardless if the light is on or not.

  • How did you remove the stock bulb in the for the trunk light? Doesn't the light turn on when you open the trunk? The bulb gets hot so fast, so I didn't make an attempt to remove it while it was on. My LED lights just came in today for my license plate and trunk, so I'm planning to install it ASAP. Thanks!

  • @shanefly27

Yeah I removed the stock bulb in the trunk. I now have a high powered LED in there. It's okay for the LED to get hot. You don't leave open the trunk anyways so it will cool down.

    Have fun modding.

  • @rainierakarain

Let me ask the question again, how did you remove the stock bulb for the trunk light? And did you remove the stock bulb while it was on? Thank you.

  • @shanefly27

I did remove the light bulb while it was on. It does not damage the car. The stock bulb sits in an enclosed grey housing. There should be a clip located at the side of the plastic mesh. Unclip it, remove the bulb firmly with pliers and replace it with an LED bulb. Then clip the plastic mesh over it and you should be good to go.

  • low budget tuning !!

  • you aren't supposed to touch the bulbs with your bare hands.

  • @stupkid Why not? What happens when I do?

  • @rainierakarain the oil on your skin will get on the bulb and sometimes will over heat the bulb quicker.

  • @stupkid I think that only applies when it comes to bulbs with a glass shell. I know for headlights, you are not suppose to touch the glass on the bulb because the oil will heat up and damage the bulb. LEDs run cool. It is okay to touch the bulb as long as the LED isn't ridiculously high powered. Hope this helps. :)

  • Are the leds use here brighter than the filament bulbs? The stock one is so dim.

  • @TheAduka The one featured here is probably the same, if not, less than the luminence of the stock bulb. I actually changed the bulb in this car to a high powered LED bulb. It definitely makes a difference.

If I were you, I would install cathode tubes to light up the trunk. They will light up your trunk much better than a single LED bulb.

  • hey i have a 06 Toyota solara can recommend me what bulbs you are using for the interior. I am looking for dome map lights for the center and the one in the front. and some for the bulbs in the visor I dont really know the lingo for it so help me out man.

  • The LEDs in the trunk makes the light whiter instead of the yellowish look but not as bright. If you want a bright trunk, put cathodes. Go to w w w . cardomain . c o m/ride/3144992/4 (remove spaces) for more information and pictures.
