Never thought I would hear this album again...and so I thank you Johnzoe777 for being so generous! Great to hear a young Lynette Hawkins letting rip and the distinctive and powerful Shirley Miller on this brilliant gospel album...aah the good old days...God Bless.
You have JUST taken me back to my high school days!!! I LOVED this album and we play it SO much I KNOW we wore it OUT!! This was released not too long after Walter's Love Alive 1 and my Dad made sure we were well stocked with all of Edwin and Walter's music!! He took us to Harris Stowe College to see them live and we met them after the concert. Also Dad took us to the late night musical in Memphis (COGIC!) & Walter & Ed sang 'Father's House'-even remember the year-WONDERFUL memories!
You took me back as well as you were telling me about how your dad took you to the late night musical I remember taking my kids to the late night musical as well in Jersey. Thanks for sharing.
You are welcome and thank you for posting not only this song but as many as possible from classic Hawkins gospel. The Hawkins were the 'definitive' as far as I am concerned (and still are!) for what was considered 'contemporary' Gospel music in the 60's/70's and also 80's/90's.
All I can say is OMG... This is classic of classics for Hawkins Fans. I remember this song as a child growing up listening on the floor in the den. Nostalgia LOL
This song can still jam.

This is the music that was instrumental in shaping the way I composed music back in the early 80's. I love it to this day!
