Well the dojo houses many martial arts including aikido, kendo, and iaido. their taught different days and i dont know much other than the kendo stuff.
From what I have read up karate, prior to the formation of kendo there were many different schools of swordplay in Japan. Efforts were made during the 1930s and in 1940s the schools were united and kendo was formed. Other attempts were made to unify the karate schools following kendo, but were ended after 1945.

huh... on the site it only list aikido and iaido. w/e. i want to do something there, its 16 miles from my house
