@onlybetx I'd like this to be on the album, or released maybe on it's own with the other demos but i do understand where they're coming from. I think it would have been nice to keep the same tone as First Days because that's my all time favourite album but maybe he just didn't want to sound negative and quite upset anymore! :)

An incredible version of the song, it's just a shame it doesn't completely fit with the theme of the album which is why they didn't include it :(

This is such a realistically emotional song, with brilliant verses, and chords that blend beautifully with the sorrowful, heartbreaking, lost-love message that the song delivers. Only Noah and the Whale can so perfectly create the kind of music that really makes you feel, deep down, what they are singing about. Their lyrics turn into emotion inside you. Incredible.

I do like Last Night On Earth, but it's just not very Noah & The Whale is it? I love this version of Old Joy though.

For me, LNOE is quite far behind P,TWLMD and even further behind the brilliant TFDOS!

I LOVE this version. Far better than the album version. Percussion, tom's fiddlin' it's all so dear and intimate. Sigh. I wish it had made the cut but I understand why it didn't.
