The fact is that L& C was a better Superman tv series than Smallville. Sorry, but Tom Welling's acting is flat in Smallville, as he was a former model, not actor, with very limited acting experience. The acting was much better in L& C, and as a couple, Dean & Teri played the most romantic & passionate Clark and Lois ever. They were truly attracted to each other & had the best chemistry of any of the Clarks & Loises. They carried the series. Tom Wellings portrayed Superboy, not Superman, right?

As much as I like Cain, I still think he is up there if not almost as equal with Chris Reeve. Granted Chris did not get his bachelors from Julliard and decided to continue pursuing his acting career. Which ultimately led to him getting the part in the first place. Cain did a lot and some can consider him a Superman and I might get flamed but I don't care but I look at what Cain has done and what Reeve did until his passing and I would say Reeve truly earned that name.

In the Lois & Clark series, the romantic relationship between Superman & Lois was much more developed than in the film with Chris Reeves. Chris Reeves was a well trained actor at Julliard & Dean Cain had no formal training in acting. I think that Chris Reeves' resume in Hollywood was more substantial. He did more in Hollywood, but Dean Cain was a scholar & gifted athlete in real life, thus a real life Superman.

When I was talking about the 'Superman' aspect, I was thinking more of what Reeve did outside of acting before and after his accident towards helping people, finding ways to help those with paralysis and political activism rather than his resume. . They both wore the costume, I know that both had respect towards each other given that both played the character and the things I heard Cain say about Reeve which I think they both share the title equally

Well it is what it is. It's a soapy , silly ABC primetime version of Superman in the early 90's. Not even Superman so much as Lois and Clark. That's the show. Sure as a huge Supes fan , I could have had a little more Superman action / Adventure and less laughable melodramma. Or mabie some higher grade writting and story. But I still enjoy it.
