I really enjoy your videos, but can you explain the benefits to the student , in knowing how to diagram sentences.Perhaps you have done so already in another video.Which one if so?
It's not terribly important which is why it's been taught less in schools over the last decade or so. It simply is another way to help us understand the parts of speech. It's a way of visualizing the relationships of words in a sentence; breaking it up between the main parts and parts that "modify" or help other parts.
