You should have seen him back when he had the Drivers still together with Jimmy Carpenter on sax a few years back. Check out some of his Nighthawks exploits too........ sick. We followed them for several years around the south. One of the best live guitarists I've seen.
Jimmy was an original member of the Nighthawks and played with them for about 14 years since around '72. In the beginning they were a local band from D.C, in the early '70's . I saw them open for Muddy Waters at the Cellar Door in Georgetown, DC in '77 - (that's right - the ORIGINAL Cellar Door! [seated around 200] back before they started a recording label)
Jimmy was the best guitarist they ever had. I've met him several times. He's so cool and down-to-earth.
Jimmy just rip's it apart...the dude is THE master when he turns it up a notch. I've seen him eighteen times over the past fifteen years. Always impressive.
one of the most underated , very talented ,versatile and a nice guy and probably see and meet him a dozen times

I consider him the best guitarist in the USA today. Saw many shows in the past- including some in MA and FL

@bluesfiend50 Check out Jimmy's neighborhood pal Bobby Radcliffe. Bobby was always the best in the 'hood and many think he still is.

That guy can shred the blues guitar like no one I've seen. Had the pleasure of seeing him in May at the Santa Cruz Blues Fest.
