good vid, but you guys talk way too fast and mumble quite a lot. it took me a while to understand. Appreciate this vid though, no one else on youtube made a vid on the vado software.

how many hours does the battery last?

Pretty long, we don't have the device with us since we returned it 6 months ago, but we remember that you'd run out of memory before you run out of battery when filming in HD.

I'm sorry, we never played with the regular vado, so I don't have the answer to that question.

We didn't test that scenario, so we're not sure. We returned the review unit to Creative months ago already.

hi i'm wondering what software did u use for editing vado hd videos?, it seems all my video editing software is not compatible with the format.. the vado central and muvee doesnt help either, they dont have feature to combine different clips. do let me know about software that are compatible on vado format for editing.. thanks for ur time.. btw, i'm happen to be in singapore to now, , cheerio

That's a very good point that we've somehow missed out... It's using some strange format that is contained in a .avi file. Does it work with Windows Movie Maker? It certainly doesn't work with iMovie. More professional apps (that unfortunately cost) like Adobe Premiere Elements would probably work. Never tested themselves, though I should have...

The software that comes with the Vado HD (Muvee) is upgradable for about $18. It allows you to edit and combine clips. It comes with pre-defined editing styles, or you can choose one that is basic. It works fine, but there is only output type, WMV, which is compressed.

I mostly use Adobe Premier Elements, which is very good.
