Fix The Windows Movie Maker problem (Having massive clips)

I have a problem when i'm saving...I've got a massive video,with many different scenes and videos put together,I've made it perfectly,but when i press on Save Movie File,I see the saving bar,but there is no progress...like i don't see how much minutes etc. etc.Please help! :(

This video is indeed awesome. The only problem is if you also have audio or music, When you delete half the videos the audio moves away so you have to rematch it up.

@SandyKellymtv2 I got a solution but I thinks it only worked for me. Make sure you save your project then close it. Then open it again. If it takes you more than 2 times to open WMM then it should work. Then save your file like normal and it should work!

If that doesnt work, you can also go to my computer then right click local disk and click properties. From there, click disk cleanup. Make sure you have have "Compress this disk drive to save disk space" checked. Message if you need more help!

@SandyKellymtv2 Most of the time, it's because you're video is too long. Try to experiment. Make a copy of your video, shorten it in half, and see if it works, if it doesn't, that means there is a different problem involved

i had the same problem all i did was copy half of the video then saved it then load up the video that was saved then paste the other half it works better then having to delete all some of your stuff and cutting parts

All this effort just to reload a saved video properly without having 1 mm clips that are impossible to edit? Big shame cuz it's actually a pretty good editing software which is free. I have power director 9 too which saves projects properly and you can do alot more with it but the effects and transitions are too cartoony.

Hello everyone, I would just like to say that if you want to make a edited movie, DON'T use windows movie maker, because you can never tell what could happen to your videos, and this problem could be one of the causes of this sort of error. If you want your videos to be safe, then DON'T RISK IT.

I found that the easiest way to fix this is to download windows LIVE movie maker instead, it works 10 times better than windows movie maker 2.6 and doesn't have that crappy saving problem. OH YEA i forget that it can also run any movies created on movie maker 2.6. Have fun :)

I did all of this, but when i put the saved movie file back into the old moviemaker file and the program automatically splits my saved movie file into shorter clips. and then i end up with more clips than i had before. what should i do?

My problem is that some of the videos i use in wmm dont work and other do save even though there all wmv.. The wmv file were all converted from their original flv youtube file using same generater.. This is VERY importent i get this fixed.. Help is much apreciated.. I even tried using wmm on another computer to save it but still did not work.. I got all the videos from same place useing same converter and all wmv only few work =( only some video will save
