  • Best !!

  • best!!

  • I want some dog pussy. =D

  • When you understand French, it's a bit naive...

  • wonderful!

  • I like the hommage when he looking for his cat in his dream's good job!

  • gimme some K9!!! now!

  • This story kind of reminds me about the song A Merman I Should Turn To Be by Jimi Hendrix.

  • Does anyone know the name of the song on the final credits? --

Est ce que quelq un connaitre le nom de la chanson dans les credits dans la fin?

  • @marcovlope That piece is titled "The One and Only." All the music from the film is available as mp3 or on CD at Amazon & CDbaby.com. Search for "Soundtrack Instrumentals - Music for Driving and Film vol. 1" by Lucio Menegon.

  • @giantspeck Hey, thank you very much That was really helpful. Ill go and get the whole soundtrack! Merci Beaucoup!

  • Just loved it, the whole ambiance it's just overwhelming, beautiful images, story well driven!

  • 15 cats

  • although this is very good sylvie the dog is ugly as hell

  • Très beau !

  • Overwhelmingly terrific. Who plays the scientist? Is that an actor? He seems familiar.

  • @ipbsf His name is Donovan Dutro. He's an actor from Sonoma County, in Northern California. Do search YouTube for his name and "Doctor Sketch" to see more of him, once again in a white lab coat, but in a very different role...

  • This is so true, the way they were talking about how a dog thinks. Dogs live in the moment, they don't think about the past or the future, they're only focused on what their doing and feeling in that moment. Makes me wish I was a dog... life would be so simple.

  • Some people do live like that and often with dire consequences. Just look at the many dictators in the world and their opulent lifestyles with little care for tomorrow or who they affect. There's a reason for the human conscience and foresight.

  • @AcousticUplift People read a lot into this film, and seeing that happen is one of the things that has been such a great experience for me (I made it). Some people see it as being about societal constraints. Others have seen it as a gay rights analogy. I will always point out first and foremost it's a comedy about what happens when a guy turns into a dog... but as I've said before, it's as deep as you want it to be. Glad it made you think!

  • @giantspeck Wow, thanks for thr response. My comment was in response to something someone said that's why it has a tone of seriousness. That said, I am aware the film has a satirical edge. Personally I found it to be helpful French practice! It's good when something you have made gets people talking. It must be satisfying that it is open to so much interpretation. Congrats on that.

  • magnifique!

  • Enjoyed this very much. Reminded me of the dogs we see running around in Jacques Tati’s film, "Mon Oncle", also a French film!

  • Thanks everyone for 11,000 views and all the great comments! If you'd like to see more of my work please visit my YouTube channel - search YouTube for "giantspeck."

  • You should check out the Russian masterpiece Sobachye serdtse (Heart of a Dog). One of my favourite films. You can find it via Google, possibly even on YouTube.

A quibble about the titles: surely it should be 'photo-roman' not photo-román?

  • @Myleso you are correct on the typo. Don't know how that happened! Thousands of people have seen this video and you are the first person to notice. Wish I could send you a prize or something...

  • Superb story and delivery of the idea. I love the dogs and am so impressed

  • excellent! great video

  • that was rather interesting...

  • I love this film!! It's absolutely brilliant!

  • Superb! To be honest, I feel more kinship with animals than I do with humans. Animals are true to themselves and, if you understand them, they never lie to you. When can I get this drug!!??

  • What the scientist failed to realize is that if one's DNA is unable to change, it cannot evolve. This means any virus that he had not previously encountered, even a new strain of the common cold, would kill him. If DNA cannot evolve, neither can the immune system. He, along with every other user of the cure, would be dead in weeks.

Oh well, enough with my nitpicking. This was a fantastic short despite this minor flaw and I can honestly say that it's one of the best I've seen in a while.

  • @AvsJoe

The whole short film is a metaphor for freedom, so all that technical stuff is irrelvant to the whole message.

  • that was really really interesting!

  • I was absolutely engrossed.

  • The best short I have seen in a very very long time.

  • love it!!

  • The world has to be a sad place, berift of freedom for this story to be thought of... Maybe this can be achieved in a less Corporeal form? Oh Yes.. Cannabis.

  • C'est magnifique!

  • Thank God is just a story! :))

  • splendid story

  • now that was good. kinda sad tho...

  • love it!

  • very odd

  • very strange movie

  • Bravo!

  • Good story. Liked it B&W.

  • Good film. Nice production.

  • Brilliant!

  • The worst way to be animal is being human

  • fun

  • un chien andalou?

  • This is amazing. John Harden's niece was in my high school and showed this in my film class shortly after its world premiere at the Sonoma County Film Festival. Fantastic short; really inspired me as a filmmaker.

  • A drug like that would raise the dog population by 1000000000% every year... lol

  • It is a really interesting concept to perceive freedom as only truly being experienced by an animal ( specifically a stray dog). It is also something to think about that if you were to choose between the two which would you choose

  • Apart from bestiality ,it was good!

  • Simply Beautiful.

  • brilliant!

  • K9, canine, smart one

  • Who are these 4 miserable f**cs that gave thumb down to this vid?? O_o

Perfect vid, with a lot of messages concerning our reality at the moment.

  • @kingkindness LOL i was JUST thinking the AXZACT same thing xD

  • Thumb up

  • a great short film

  • Awesome!

  • i wish i was a dog...

  • happy ending <3

  • So, the moral is? People are animals, so they need to be controlled by authorities, otherwise they go wild? OR This control is already so strict that the only way people can be really free is to change into dogs?

  • That was amazing.

  • Just like "La Jetee", one moving picture from bed.

  • One of the best on futureshorts!

  • j'aime, j'aime l'histoire, le discours, les photos... tout!

    =)

  • Very poetic! If such a thing happened, it would be the best thing to ever happen to dogs (or the worst). It would definitely be interesting though. Of course, the search for other animal forms would follow. Then we'd all be were-people!

  • serieusement fuck up ,lol belle histoire

  • nice! sympa""

  • Fantastically original

  • oh man!!!! simply wonderful! and for a second, I wanted to be a dog! wof wof!

  • Belle histoire!

  • très jolie!

  • such a good story! LOVE IT.

  • I like this one for sure!

  • Fuck yes, future shorts. Youtube's one and only harbinger of art.
