Thank you, for this wonderful visit to the SS Yongala. This is the grave site of my Grandfather Arthur Armstrong, who was a member of the crew, when the ship sank during 23 March 1911.
I have had 3 livaboard trips to the Yongala with Mike Ball, 2 on waters sport and 1 on spoil sport and we were always told to treat it as a grave and do not pnetrate the wreck. Seen a few videos on youtude with divers inside the wreck :-( Oh and I do remember the swales getting back onboard water sport.... I notice that Mike Ball has sold the shop and water sport in Townsville?

1988 no known restrictions by Mike Balls watersports. Perhaps that has changed now I do not know.
