Places like Athens and London on the other hand, have more demand, enough for their planes, hence why they go there :)

you have got it all wrong cyprus airways had 4 a310's they hav replaced them with 2 a330's. in my opinion they should have got 4 a330-300 because although they have less range than the-200 they can accomodade more passengers. Remember they only use the A330's on 4.30 hour flights a A340 or 747 are much too large for such a short flight. look at eurocypria they use 737-800s for thesew flights not even a widebody aircraft. Forget the 744 cos they hav a all airbus fleet they are not going to get it

Since Cyprus Airways sold their subsidairy eurocypria to the Government for 13.45,000 to the government a lot of changes have happened. Eurocypria are now a well respected airline in cyprus operating a modern fleet of 737-800W. I have flown on the airline and i have found it very enjoyable. On the other hand Cyprus Arways may never expant into the US market because it may not be a very popular destination from Cyprus

cyprus is not going to replace anything at the moment.They do not have the resources to do it.But good news,in 2007 the company made a profit so who knows in the future there might be fleet expansions

Ok,long haul flight's is not a priority now for Cyprus but maybe in the future there will be some researches by them!It's a bit difficult for a small airline to go long haul
Can i just say that i have recently been on both CYs A319s and i found them very comfortable.Also i did find Mkenzie a buetiful area too i last whent way back in 2005 where i saw loads of thomas cook planes there.And finally i know someone who works at CY and he said that they might replace the Airbus a330s from their fleet and replace them with a321.(Big Mistke)
Is this true, that they might replace the a330's for a321's. thats terrible. a330's are much newer more sophisticated aircrafts than the a321's. bad mistake cyprus airways. do not replace with a321's. at least replace with a340's
how do u know better than the airline that its a mistake!?! really i wanna know! its not about replacing obviously, its about replacing with something smaller, its about better profit and maybe more a321s than 330s or else i would suggest them 2 to fly only a380s!
