I just love my AMD Phenom II X6 1100T. Even if people say an i5 Or i7 is better. I guess this all has to do with rep. Which is something AMD doesn't have much of. A good component isn't a faster component, is a component that brings good performance with good power management, price and assistance... I already contacted Intel, they where rude ... biased very biased. AMD vs. intell is all about taste and budget. it is in my opinion that if you build a gaming rig with AMD you won't spend most of your money for a CPU. And with intel you can get great performance in a multitude of matches that target budgets.
In conclusion, with most AMD CPU's you won't spend much on them, which alows you to go crazy on other things. With intell you can go low end, mid, and high as a target line ie graphics, fans, ect... that fit to they're CPU's

i personally and not a fanboy, and will go with either end for anything, i grab some cash, and thats my budget, i do some research and i find the best performing CPU for that price, if i had 1000 dollars to spend on the CPU alone, i would rather get an i7 990x, than an AMD P2x6 1100T, if i had 350 dollars, i would rather get an i7 940 than and AMD PH2 x4 965, if i had 150 dollars i would get an AMD x3 720 over the intel core i3, if i had 200 dollars i would get a PH2 x4 965 over an a core2 quad
I've used both Intel and AMD processors, in mine and client's PCs I've tested them.
I come down to a conclusion:
Inte ls good, very good, but invest the money on more adversiting than performance and Cost x Benefit, that make me go for the AMD processors, which can handle all the stuff for a lower price, and is so good for overclocking, I got a X6 1090T @4.00GHz at 43°C in IDLE and 48°C while I play a game.
Intel generally performs better, but that performance comes at a price. AMD processors perform good, and are priced much cheaper than Intel. So really, it just depends on your budget and how much performance you're looking for. If you're one of those enthusiasts that have tons of money to spare, might as well go for Intel for the maximum frames. Otherwise, AMD would be the better choice because you'll save lots of money and have similar performance.
@locolalo1364 Because marketing CPUs is no longer about who can get the highest GHz numbers, which is what Intel relied on to sell the Pentium 4. Unfortunately, it worked even though the P4 was a pretty shitty processor.
Dependes on the aspect. I personally prefer Phenom II X6 1055T than Core i5. 6 cores / 6 cores, same price (or less) and Phenom II X6 1055T is very good in gaming, for me i5 / 1055t both are good, but prefer the second and i7 980x comparated to 1090t overprice. Each one prefer what like, I prefer AMD, I noticed a better assistance, Intel doesn't help me with a problem I have in my notebook.
@PCsReviews In this vid you are misleading consumers. i7 does beat Phenom II in almost every game. Only advantage AMD has is its lower price and lower power consumption. You're just AMD fan boy, nothing else. But I agree i7 just for gaming isn't really necessary, it overkill. i5 will do the job and so will phenom II, but it's wrong to state i7 is worse in gaming because it's not. i5 2500K beats any AMD CPU available easy at the moment, especially in gaming.

@DnaAngel33 You are really outdated. The most recent AMD chips out right now are the AMD Phenom II x6 1075T, 1090T, and there most recently released 1100T clocked at 3.4GHZ. Still though, all Intel Core i7 chips have surpassed AMD Phenom II x6 chips in benchmark 3Dmark advantage tests and any other benchmark tests from any other programs. AMD is low cost for a reason, low performance, less cache, bigger NMs. Intel does it better.

@CaptianObviousIII AMD (Advance Micro Device) for a reason.. they were the best for adapting the 64Bit when intel was still on a 32Bit Processor and again AMD gona do AGAIN with the 128-Bit processor. AMD for Desktop , Intel for Laptop --> this is my moto :)

@DnaAngel33 You are really outdated. The most recent AMD chips out right now are the AMD Phenom II x6 1075T, 1090T, and there most recently released 1100T clocked at 3.4GHZ. Still though, all Intel Core i7 chips have surpassed AMD Phenom II x6 chips in benchmark 3Dmark advantage tests and any other benchmark tests from any other programs. AMD is low cost for a reason, low performance, less cache, bigger NMs. Intel does it better.

Intel can suck my....AMD procesor :)) if u are willing to spend 1.5k on a procesor from intel go ahed im sticking with amd same performance even beter quality and OMG so much more, lets not even mention the price. OH BTW intel isn't a quad core AMD is a true quad core 4 pipes compere to the beafed up dualcore intel that u call quad 2 pipes.... so lets leave it to AMD

intels get hotter than AMD's because of intels extra stuff like sped step, and especially hyper-threading. AMD's are very overclock-able lol. phenom could go from 3.2 to 4.5 on air.intels core i7 six core 4.5 liquid cool or dry ice. ive heard after 4.5 it gets very unstable.
