I've been following you for awhile and just want to thank you for your support and love for the gay community, especially gay youth. We all know that homophobia in the Black community is prominent and for you, a heterosexual Black man, to speak out against it does a lot of positive things. All the videos about this siubject is just about gay, bi, or trans. There are straight people who go through the same exact thing but everyone talks just about people who aren't straight. I have great depression but there's no one there for me right now and I don't get how it seems like people ignore straight people. You are not alone!

Unfortunately religion as a whole seems to be anti gay, but if it's so wrong then how come so many people get round this teaching and accomodate being gay with practicing their religion at the same time, so I think that's fantastic! The whole idea that being gay is wrong and should be punnished was created by ignorant people who were just scared of what they saw as different - so scared they thought let's outlaw this homosexuality thingand hope it go's away by spreading this fear of it. I hate to quote Star Wars, but I think it's appropriate, "Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering." These people that preach that God is love are causing CHILDREN to suffer, not just gay kids either, but all kids. Giving kids more reason to question their feelings (as if they aren't confused enough) isn't doing anyone any favors.
For a god who is apparently all about love it's strange that he would condemn people to an eternity in hell just for loving somebody of the same sex. That's the very definition of a hypocrite. It's this type of superstitious belief and prejudice that is tearing our species apart from the inside out. Even if this hateful god really did exist why do people find him worthy of worship? @LegenDrag I did open my eyes when i saw how gay ppl could get cured by an exorcism. I check a christian forum often and there are many gay ppl who got cured and explain how they got cured. The type of gay ppl i hate, are the type that think its a normal thing to be gay. When i was fat, i knew it wasn't normal. Or when a man, though having male sexual parts, identifies himself as being a woman. Typically you hear this term when someone has a sex change operation from a woman to a man or from a man to a woman. Though they "appear" male...within their minds they desire to be a woman. Though they appear female...in their minds they desire to be a man.

Being gay is not a choice, the American Psychological Association has clearly illustrated this. While I feel great sympathy for those who suffer addiction, it's different. People choose to use drugs, but people do not choose to be gay. Why do you feel so threatened by same-sex love, how does it hurt you?

Then one day a girl walked up and asked how was the air up there. I just lost it and i hit her. I never returned back to that school. Can any Christian answer me this - God created man in his image, yes? God is also all-knowing, yes? If we answer yes to both of those as religion teaches and we believe what else religion tells us, God allows people to born, knowing full well they'll be damned to hell for their sins even before they are born. @millettc - Not every Christain believes the same. I believe that we are all made in God's image, which is a spirit image, not a flesh and bone one. And, yes, I believe God is all knowing. Some people do not believe people are born gay. They believe it's a choice. I believe some people are born gay and I believe some choose it for various reasons. God wants us to be true to ourselves and to love our neighbor, which is everyone. The discrepencay is not in God, but in man's discernment of God.

I agree with what you are saying. God made them that way. They should be happy with who they are. You are saying what most of us are thinking. I really dont feel God would approve of people judging each other. .Everyone has the right to be who they are. More people need to stand up and stop all this hate. It is no ones business who you choose to love. Be happy with whatever and whoever you choose to be. Thank you for standing up for what is right.

I love this, you are saying what most of us are thinking. I am so upset about all these beautiful and young people who are taking their own lives. I am not gay, but I believe that people should not be judged for loving or feeling the way they do. I just can't see anyone hurting themselfs anymore. So lets stop the hate and bullying.

@colleen198030 the problem is people are told "ignore" the bully and nothing is done until the first punch is thrown or the first self cut is inflicted. I was bullied in school for being "weird" (aka autistic) and the school didn't do shit. But when I threw a girl down a flight of stairs I got in major trouble. Funny tho, she was afraid of me after. :)

@TheTravelfool Yes well I too was bullied, and then reacted in a simular way. I got so sick of the jokes about my height and how skinny I was. I would come home from school and cry. Then one day a girl walked up and asked how was the air up there. I just lost it and i hit her. I never returned back to that school. I am 30 yrs old now, but when i think about those days, and how much those jokes hurt me I still feel like crying

We can all disagree about whether being gay is wrong/sin...but you can't argue/debate about kids getting made fun and bullied, causing themselves to commit suicide.
I don't except homesexuality the act, but I do accept the person...I might not like my crackhead cousins actions, but they are still people.

@catonic I appreciate what you said here. I agree wholeheartedly that bullying is BAD. Problem is, however, that the homosexuals are extremely proactive in trying to get legislation passed to prevent people from speaking out against their lifestyle. This is headed in a VERY bad direction. Stop the bullying...YES! I'm all for it. Try to get "hate crimes" legislation passed to stop the Christians & others who consider homosexual sinful then you're treading on religious freedom & free speech.

Can any Christian answer me this - God created man in his image, yes? God is also all-knowing, yes? If we answer yes to both of those as religion teaches and we believe what else religion tells us, God allows people to born, knowing full well they'll be damned to hell for their sins even before they are born. Therefore, he can't love some people very much can he? Isn't that a discrepancy? Regardless, back to topic - it's not a sin to be gay/lesbian/transsexual etc.

@millettc - Not every Christain believes the same. I believe that we are all made in God's image, which is a spirit image, not a flesh and bone one. And, yes, I believe God is all knowing. Some people do not believe people are born gay. They believe it's a choice. I believe some people are born gay and I believe some choose it for various reasons. God wants us to be true to ourselves and to love our neighbor, which is everyone. The discrepencay is not in God, but in man's discernment of God.

So my point was that it's temptation and temptation is not sin. Acting on the temptation is sin. There is a huge difference. The passage you're referring to is talking about lusting after another woman and honestly I believe that passage is talking about masturbation. Go read it..
